Service was slow and a little scatty — they forgot our drinks order and brought the mains at different times. But the server seemed genuinely distraught at forgetting, so we didn’t mind. And the steaks themselves were superb, while creamy spinach beefed up the meal nicely. You can’t beat a £10 steak and fries lunch in my opinion. Desserts were beautiful. I’m glad I shared the crispy pancake thingy with dulce de leche(DDL) layers. Delicious and oh-so rich. Don’t bother flying to Argentina, graze on top-class steak in Wimbledon!

What an amazing place! Had such a lovely evening here. Great food and nice service, can’t ask for more. We had bread rolls with chimichurri sauce to start and the manager immediately came over to explain to us the origin of the sauce and where the name came from. He was really friendly without being overwhelming, gave us such a warm welcome and seemed to genuinely want us to have a nice evening. The chimichurri sauce was delish and then came the steaks. Mmm. I had the rib eye and my dining companion had the sirloin, cooked medium. Both were delicious but the winner was the rib eye — so perfectly tender. The accompanying chips were crispy and salty, really good. The only part that was a slight letdown was the mushroom sauce, not bad but nothing to write home about. Lastly, the wine list is extensive and for the most part, expensive, but the malbec we had was delish and I would order it again. All in all, a really nice experience and would recommend it to anyone.

Had a perfect evening here — textbook service, a perfect steak cooked blue, good wine and a contagious passion for Argentinian cuisine. Nice atmosphere and the feel of a truly friendly place. Will be back ;)

So after waiting 20 minutes for a ‘reserved’ table, watching a completely chaotic front-of-house try to deal with three couples arriving simultaneously, next to the door which didn’t quite close properly — creating a howling, icy-cold gale which encircled the small, packed restaurant. I really wasn’t expecting much. However, after cunningly choosing the only table in the place which wasn’t in the breeze, we had superb, ninja-like service from our waiter who brought two excellent steaks, perfectly cooked coupled with a superb Argentine Malbec. The 4-star rating shows how good the food was, even to forget the rather rocky outset.
