We ate a light lunch there seven days ago and we really enjoyed it. We each had the tomato leek soup, which came in a rather generous-sized bowl and there were two slices of bread. The bread was just«fair», but the soup was *delicious*. Also, the young guy behind the counter and the man at the cash register were very pleasant. There’s a decent amount of seating indoors and there’s also some outdoor seating. The interior of the café is attractive & airy, and all of the food looked great.

Enjoyed lunch here… To my surprised when we visited this very popular restaurant was not busy. We were able to order our food promptly and received it in good time. Everything we ordered was very tasty and the staff friendly. The best was that we could sit outside enjoying the beautiful garden. My tip is if you won’t have dogs, look for the dog free section as it can get very animated in the other section…

When you come somewhere as truly beautiful and picturesque as this you expect the food to be top notch. It was not. When I’m paying £11 for my breakfast I expect it to be amazing!!! The bacon wasn’t nice. The eggs were watery. And God forbid if you run out of your two little butters coz then they charge you 15p per sachet!

I was expecting something very limited before we arrived at Brew House Café. I was pleasantly surprised! What a wonderful place to be able to go and eat on a day out at Hampstead/Kenwood. The menu looks as though it changes regularly however when I was there there was a chicken dish and a salmon dish as well as a vegetarian greek salad/feta dish plus potatoes and vegetables. There were sandwiches and salads in the fridge along with fresh juices. There were also a selection of strawberries and glasses of Eton Mess as well as chocolate/raspberry roulade and a strawberry cheesecake. The central table was FILLED with cakes of all different kinds and there were hot drinks as well as scones with jam and cream. The gluten free options were limited to the salads or the cherry and almond cake — neither of which I wanted so I would recommend they have a few more options as they advertise on the website they have GF options. Perhaps even just saying on the blackboard if their hot meals are gluten free would help also. Otherwise grabbing some gluten free bread and having GF sandwiches available would be a huge improvement. Otherwise everything was great and it wasn’t overly expensive which was a nice surprise! The food itself was delicious(although I don’t recommend buying two desserts for yourself as you’ll get a sugar hangover!) The garden area is really lovely and a perfect place to eat in the sun. I will be back!

This café is a bit of a trek from most forms of public transport but so cute and would be a great spot to spend a summer’s day. I came here hoping from brunch but unfortunately it’s only English breakfast or sandwiches until 12 or 12:30 so had to settle for a coffee instead. The lunch menu definitely looked tempting and I will have to return again soon. After our meal, we tried to walk around the heath but it was pouring so we did a tour of the house instead to wait out the rain. It’s free, you can probably walk around in 20 minutes, and the staff is very friendly.

I love this place as it has a great atmosphere, good soups and great coffee. BUT the food is very hit-and-miss. My spinach quiche today was actually horrid — very eggy, insipid, flabby, no flavour. And the cakes look great but are dry, tasteless and not nearly as good as cakes in comparable settings. Hard to understand why the food isn’t better.

Well-managed English Heritage café where you can stop over for a coffee or tea whilst you’re exploring Hampstead Heath and Kenwood Garden/House. It’s noce and cozy inside… for those damp winter days, but they also have a spacious outside area, where you can join in all sorts of fellow explorers. They have a wide selection of sweet and savory items… really something that will suit anyone’s palete. Thumbs up!

I used to be a great fan of this place. Until today, when I had the most disappointing steak and kidney pie. 5 pieces of steak in a watery gravy(even if tasty). Of course, you can’t see inside the pie before you get it. So my advice is only to buy food there that you can see. Standards definitely have slipped.

Lovely cake in the walled garden of Kenwood House,(as seen in the film Notting Hill). All very Jane Austen but large seating capacity and always busy, which takes away a little from the atmosphere but is lovely after a meander on the heath.

Set at Kenwood house a great place to stop for a coffee and sandwich after a stroll around the grounds. A good cappuchino and victoria sponge with fresh cream and jam. If you really want to go for it you can have the full english or dish of day. A little pricey but if you are making a day of it well worth it.

This is just what you want after a long walk around the grounds of Kenwood and Hampstead Heath. There is seating both inside and out, and the café serves up sanwiches, cakes, drinks and fruit, as well as more hearty dishes such as soup or bangers and mash.
