What can you say about a pharmacy? I’m not a great fan of the multiple pharmacy chains like Boots and Superdrug. I much prefer small independent outlets, where you get a more personal service. This particular branch of Boots though is very small and you feel that the focus is on the pharmacy side, rather than selling scents and electric gadgets. I also like this branch because although it is small, it usually has three sales assistants on duty at all times. The best feature of this Boots, is that I can order online and come here to collect my goods. Unlike most larger branches of Boots, where can wait ages for assistance to collect your goods, here you almost get served straight away.

I am wanting to write this review because today on the 12th December at about 6pm I had the most amazing service today. A gentleman from a chinese background in his late 20’s with what I can at best describe as a slightly spikey trendy haircut. While I was in a small queue he looked over at me and aplogised for the wait and just could not have been more helpful to myself and the other customers. It is this kind of service that makes a company. I am a regular and sadly although this place is very convenient, the small size does make the range of products small. As a result it often does not have what you need. I suppose it is the corner shop of chemists and like all corner shops is very convenient and local for the main stuff, but often and especially in this field you need something more specialised.

Have to admit that I was kind of surprised to see 3 people on staff for a pharmacy this size. It’s barely larger than my bedroom! Due to its size, the place definitely lacks variety but has all the basics that one could/would expect from a neighbourhood pharmacy. Service was fast — in and out in under 3 minutes, which is just about the right amount of time to spend in a Boots.
