Cheap and cheery remaindered book shop, between Euston and King’s Cross. Worth a visit as they sometimes have some interesting bits and pieces — a book on dictator’s interior décor anyone? Books mostly priced at £2 each; ideal for disposable train journey reading.

Lovely cheap bookshop, conveniently located opposite the British Library. They have a good ‘random’ stock, you know those books that are perfect as presents for people who don’t actually read — i saw one particularly vacuous one about how facial symmetry is important in relationships, using celebs as examples. Amazing, half Brad half Jen(this is pre Ang). The one bad thing is that they don’t(or didn’t when i was in there a few months back) accept debit cards, so everything has to be paid in cash. Bit of a pain in the butt, as you have to really plan your visit.

This bookshop with its big sister down the street(selling more expensive reference books for £5.00– £10.00) is the cheaper end of the duo with £1.00 -£2.00 per book . Again nothing to look at on the outside — you have to go in and look around. The same as the reference bookshop — choices are random and what is there is what you get. Specializing in mainly children’s books there is also a large area with many other general subjects covered. Some photography, cooking, and travel reference books are also available plus reading books of all types. This is a great place to browse and find a «find». I bought a 5 pack of «Horrid Henry» books for my son for £5.00 normally costing 1 for £5.00(which regretfully included a joke book which really was«horrid») however jokes aside it is a good place to buy thrifty gifts for kids and adults alike. But hey… what is a rabbits favourite music? hiphop why do dragons make bad bosses? because they fire everybody why was the Egyptian boy upset? his daddy was a mummy what has a bottom at the top? legs okay okay I endured days of that non stop…
