Do not buy this salon’s voucher! The staff offered to short-change my service a couple of times. I in the end didn’t even get a haircut. Can’t get a refund because they redeem the code when you book the appointment. Biggest rip off ever!

I came here after getting a groupon voucher for a cut and blow dry. I’m used to not always being treated super well by salons once they know you are using a voucher, but was pleasantly surprised at Blooms! The woman who was cutting my hair was really attentive and did a great job. I’m not someone who loves spending hours getting my hair done and this cut was done super efficiently without getting the feeling she was rushing. Also was given an additional money off voucher on my next cut there so will definitely be visiting again!

I’ve had a hard time finding a good blonde colourist here in London! Matt did a great job of understanding my frustrations with this, and chose a more natural blonde highlight. He monitored and executed to perfection and followed with a toner. I’m really happy with the color and the fact that my hair is still in great shape afterward! This will definitely be my regular salon in London now. Thanks, Matt!

I am new to London so needed to find a new hairdresser! Today I had blonde highlights and tidy up trim and could not be happier! Matt who done my hair was fabulous and would highly recommend, I always have my hair done in top salons and pay a lot, I found the price list very reasonable, this was a small refreshing salon that was extremely friendly and welcoming. Matt listened to what I wanted and worked his magic! He gave me fantasic home care advice aswell, I will be returning for definite, I am shocked to see some bad reviews as this was a great experience for me. I left feeling very happy with my hair and overall generally happy to spend time with their delightful team at blooms, highly skilled hairdressers!!! Thank you

went there last friday for a semi permanent hair colour from my groupon voucher. i topped up £20 to have my hair colour permanent rather than semi. the girl who did my colour was really nice but the advice on my choice of colour wasnt really well, for someone who ‘knows more about me’ regarding hair. after 1 week from colouring my hair to reddish/brown, it’s more brown!!! i was really hoping for a deep red/brown for a change as i have been having hazel brown colour everytime i colour my hair and i really wanted a change. shame, i should have just listened to my instinct and gone for a bolder shade(as long as it wasnt bright loud red) of reddish colour coz my hair now is definitely boring DARKBROWN instead of what i was hoping for. like what i said i only colour my hair maybe 1 or 2 a year as i don’t want my hair to get dry and dull. what a shame really… all in all experience was ok, kinda in and out place really. won’t go there again for sure though as its a bit of a trek for me to get there.

I’d be really interested to hear from anyone who’s had a good experience at Blooms as the staff were all so nice I’m rather hoping my experience was a flash in the pan. The salon itself is ok. I certainly wouldn’t head there regularly as it’s quite out of the way and located on a street that’s liberally coated in dog crap. The salon is small and friendly, but has strip lighting which isn’t at all nice unless you are trying to land a plane in fog. I bought a £68 deal from Wowcher for a Brazilian blow dry worth £380. Alarms should have been ringing when my friend, who has the most luscious BBD’d locks herself, said that was far too expensive and her own cost £120 up somewhere awesome in Dollis Hill. A look on the Blooms website said the brazilian blow dry was indeed well over £300 normally, for Yuko systems, which I knew of as having a great reputation. Shame that instead I had something called Kerastraight, which isn’t listed on the Blooms website. The whole experience only took an hour from start to finish, which seemed a bit odd given that I have hair well below my shoulders and had been warned to allow up to three. Simona, my stylist, had a very rough way of straightening my hair which wasn’t very pleasant, running the irons over it very quickly over and over again. She did however, kindly cut my Shetland pony fringe out of my eyes for no extra charge, but it wasn’t a very neat trim and I’m going to have to have it done again. Anyway, having forked out an extra £26 for hair products to look after my locks, I obediently kept my hair poker straight and unwashed for the next three — yes, three — days. I was absolutely gagging to wash my hair by the Friday, and looking forward to nice smooth hair. Instead, my hair went as puffy as it usually does after washing. I wasn’t outside, I wasn’t doing any exercise, I’d obeyed the instructions to the absolute letter, and I may as well just not have bothered for all the difference it made to my hair. I was incredibly disappointed. I took a load of pictures of my hair afterwards, and emailed both Blooms and Wowcher to say how unimpressed I was. Blooms didn’t respond to me directly, but Wowcher wrote to say the salon were very sorry it hadn’t worked and would like to invite me back for a do-over. Not bloody likely — another three days for no benefit? I’m getting a refund for my voucher and heading straight to my friends’ place in Dollis Hill. I haven’t had it yet so will be popping the pictures in a reminder email. Lucky Wowcher! The only reason this place isn’t getting one star is that it hasn’t had any other reviews. For all I know, Blooms might be good for cuts(starting at a whopping £55 mind you!), but I’m certainly not going back to find out.
