I made an appointment here following a recommendation from a friend. I certainly don’t regret it!
My appointment was with Julia, the owner, for a cut and blow-​dry. I was immediately impressed with her care and attention to detail — she genuinely seems to know what your hair needs and won’t add on unnecessary extras to make a quick buck.
We started the appointment with me sitting in the chair and explaining what I would like done. Julia listened attentively and talked me through exactly what she was going to do to replicate what I’d asked for, adding in a few suggestions of her own. Despite me booking for a cut and blow-​dry, Julia recommended just a cut as my hair was very clean and she didn’t feel it needed a wash, and would have felt bad charging me for something I didn’t need. I felt this was very honest of her, and made me so much more comfortable.
The atmosphere is very casual, other stylists will make chit chat with you while they’re working and you’re given the option of using an iPad while your hair is cut too. They have a coffee bar serving red espresso coffee, Matcha lattes and teapigs tea. They have also just opened a bar downstairs called Hair of the Dog which serves beer and wine from midday to 8pm — you can drink a beer while having your hair done!
I will definitely be back here. I love my new cut!

I’m sad to report that I did not enjoy my experience here. I was really excited to visit because of the great reviews. I wasn’t sure of which stylist to go to, so they gave me Francesco. He nodded his head when I showed him what I said I was attempting to do with my hair. But I walked out with a cut I didn’t ask for and he also shaved the back of my head with some strange graduation that he assured me would be wonderful once it grows out. It looks like a buzz/​bowl cut in the back. Not feminine, not chic. Which is the cut I walked in with. I was very confused when he showed me the back of my head, because I did not ask for him to cut it. I said trim and clean up of the existing cut, as I was attempting to grow it out to a longer length. I now have the arduous task of having to grow it out for a longer period of time and take it back to my stylist in LA so that she can fix it. Too bad really. Other than that, the folks at the front were nice and the environment was also great and friendly. Oh well on the cut.

Best haircuts in the world! Every time I travel to London I book an appointment with Julia. She is friendly, precise, and thorough without ever rushing. Also, you can’t beat the shampoo massage! Be sure to try the rooibos espesso shot.

Great place, the hairdressers are very good and friendly. Best haircut I’ve had in a long time, I will definitely be coming back!

Great atmosphere, the friendliest service, I’m made to feel like part of the Blade family every time I’m there. Very reasonable prices for the area and did I mention the coffee??? If Stu is there, ask him to make you a flat white. He makes THE BEST one I’ve ever tasted!

New York, Dubai, Seattle or London — this is hands down my favorite and in my opinion the best hairdressers. My personal favorite, Julia, always pays close attention to detail, understands my hair and makes me go out smiling. I have tried countless places but this wins. An amazing coffee bar with some of the best coffee I’ve tasted (even having lived in coffee culture Seattle), great tunes and a laid back friendly atmosphere and staff. I only hope they open a Blade Soho in New York!
