This is an amazing place to buy one off goods, many of which are made locally and designed by local East End designers. The place will be a great find for any Olympic visitors who want to take home genuines souvenir.

I must be a good girl because God just delivered me a shoe shop! Shoes, handbags, gloves, broaches; they have everything you need to complete an outfit. They also sell Irregular Choice shoes and Viviene Westwood Melissa’s. If you are wondering what I am talking about this might not be the shop for you. I’m suprised at the other reviews of this place. I think it’s just charming and super local. They have helpful staff and wonderful stock. When I’m having a bad day I can walk in here and be transported into the world of shoes, where you can never look fat or be stupid. Sad but true. They have some really funny bling handbags and other odd bits but essentially they sell fabulous shoes. Did I mention the shoes? Did I mention I love shoes? Just checking…

Yeah, one for the ladies this, and that’s not to say that I didn’t enjoy my time in there thoroughly. It’s a very good example of a very good boutique, and obvs there’s a lot of baggage with that. A lot of baggage in there though, pretty priced too, which is probably my main problem with this. Now, I int got a ‘shoe thing’ so I wouldn’t know what I’m looking for. But even I can tell that they have some grand shoes in here. Really nice. But I have never — nor I hope ever will — spent £200 on a pair of shoes. So, nice but at a price. Uh-Huh. The boutique is presented really really nicely. And apparently, they’ve just opened up another branch so things must be going well for them, it is nice to see such a good enterprise going on. Just don’t expect Christmas presents from here ladies, you hear?

The Black Truffle has has been in London’s East End since 2003, and is doing so well that they have recently opened a branch in the West End. It is a darling little boutique which carries shoes, clothes and accessories for men women and children. This sounds like a lot of stuff but the displays are minimal. True to the East End philosophy they carry«vegan» shoes, but also have leather goods. They were some luxury stockings that my boyfriend was quite keen for me to get. Their shoe selection is what dominates the boutique, and while they are cute and look comfortable they are a bit out of my price rance for now.

Black Truffle opened its first store in 2003 on Broadway Market, and has been providing East Londoners with sophisticated shoes ever since. The shop itself is beautifully set up, and stocks a range of brands from emerging designers through to well know designers. As well as shoes, Black Truffle also stocks bags, jewellery, gifts and homeware. It is not my kind of store, but I did have a nice time browsing with my girlfriend. As usual, I felt a little nervous at first, being immersed in a shop full of young ladies. I had a chat to Sally the shopkeeper though, who was really friendly, The shop is a little pricey, but it is all good quality. If you are going to the Saturday Broadway Market then you should pop in, or any other day of the week, except for Monday.

One of the boutiques to have sprung up on the Broadway Market — this tiny shop has mostly been shoes — but has now branched out in bags, umbrellas and raincoats. All the pieces feel similar — abit«granny”/ quirky and new«vintage» — with lace up stripy shoes with cone heels in turquoise and brown for £120.00 –and printed water proof raincoats at £120.00. Riding boots with full elastic backs are £165.00 and various bags at £75.00. The shoe selection is small but unique and does not feel too high street. Last summer they had one of the nicest classic canvas espadrill around in good colours. This shop has a cute range of shoes above prices like«office» but also more individual shoes(but not designer) — and is worth checking out.

I’ve always been a bit disappointed with Black Truffle. It looks like it could be so good, but whenever I walk in there’s never anything I like. Which I suppose is a good thing, considering they’re a little above my price range, a pair of shoes would set you back about £200. It’s success in the East End has led the owner, Melissa Needham, to open another store in Warren Street. So she must be doing something right.
