Birchen Grove Garden Centre

I am so delighted to have found this place. It is really massive, with the most amazing selection of plants and helpful staff. It is as though one of those wonderful out of town garden centres had been transplanted to just outside the north circular it totally spanks the rival DIY superstores for selection and quality.

There’s always a great variety of reasonably priced, good quality gardeners tools-​from seeds to strawberry plants, and the staff are incredibly helpful. My little nephew loves feeding the koi carp with my daughter whilst I buy various bits and bobs. It’s definitley a hidden gem-it’s rarely crowded and I can always find what I want to buy.

Lovely garden centre with so much to choose from. Outdoor area is nicely laid out with beautiful plants. Prices are very reasonable. It’s a shame it is a little hidden away.

This place is amazing. Everything you could possibly want for your garden is here — and a lot more. There is an excellent selection of plants (and they seem pretty healthy). If you want an instant garden they have mature shrubsthe topiary is greatthere’s a special section for bamboorosesthe choice is a bit overwhelming!
Inside you’ll find garden furniture galore, BBQs, water features, pet supplies, tools and lots more. At Christmas they have a big selection of tree decorations, as well as cut and living trees.
What really helps to make this place special is the aquatic section — it’s like a mini aquarium. Whenever we come here as a family we must go to the aquatic section to look at the beautiful tropical fish, the slimy snails and the koi carp, to name but a few.
I’ve always found the staff helpful. If they didn’t know the answer they would get someone who does. If you’re looking for something for the garden, you may want to try here. I certainly never seem to leave empty handed.
