Lovely old library with high ceilings, wooden panelling and a whole lot of character. The book selection is also broad and the librarians very helpful. The wifi was down when I went unfortunately but it seems it would be a good place to get a bit of work done so I reckon I’ll be back soon! More books for your noggin’! c*

I don’t think I’ve felt so attached to a library since Wellington. Bethnal Green Library is in an attractive Victorian building which was originally part of a lunatic asylum. It’s old enough to be a proper library with dark wooden shelves and panelling. The SF and graphic novel sections seem to be increasing in size of late and the selection is impressive, far beyond what I would expect for a local library. The staff are generally friendly and have not infrequently gone above and beyond in tracking down a particular book.
