I’m hesitant to review my local NHS clinic so soon after starting to see a GP here(about 4 months), but thus far I am pleased with my care. To avoid going into a long-ass essay about health care in general, I will sum up with bullet points. –Morning appointments are better if you can take the time off work. They have been basically on time every time I’ve had one. Afternoons are a bit trickier, and tend to run a little behind. The longest I’ve had to wait though was only about 20 minutes. –The front desk staff could be more sympathetic on the phone, but they aren’t horrible(and I don’t blame them, I wouldn’t want their job), and about on par with most admin staff in the public sector. In person, they have been plesant to deal with. –My doctor, Dr Taylor, seems to be a really good doctor. She is kind, to the point, practical, and really friendly. She is the best thing about this clinic. I am picky about doctors and I quite like her. –It is an urban medical centre, take from that what you will. They see a lot of people and have a lot on their plates. In spite of this, I have been able to get what I need in a timely fashion.

The reception staff here are terrible they don’t care about patient’s wellbeing at all and are too busy talking with eachother to be helpful or understanding. It baffles me that the NHS cannot employ competent, friendly people to be the face of the UK public health system.

Super friendly doctors who really take time to look after you. Helpful(if not a bit brisk — but then aren’t they all) reception staff and nice and clean place. Opening hours could be a bit more flexible a it;s difficult to schedule appointments around a day job
