I worked right by this place and it would have been so convenient to come here every now and then. It’s nicely laid out and the food looks good, if perhaps overpriced. Their ready-packed sandwiches are fine, their coffee too. But every time I am in there, I get a bad feeling, the staff and just really unfriendly and seem quite unhappy too. I almost feel guilty for taking up their time. At the Pret A Manger on the same road, the staff are almost without exception friendly and make a real effort, so I would much, much rather go there.

i visited Benugo Hanover St yesterday with a mate of mine who works next door. I’d never heard of Benugo before(I know now that there loads around London!), so I was pleasantly surprised by the very simple tea I had which was actually quite well brewed and the chocolate brownie, though a little crumbly was sufficiently rich to hit the spot that I needed to hit. I’d come back and try the Benugo coffee some ppl are talking about(at the St Pancras branch mind you) if I was in the area. There have a large downstairs area which was empty when we went(4:30pm on a Monday) but given this is right next to Regent St I imagine it gets pretty busy at the weekends. The sandwiches looked nice too, but again, next time!
