I am loathe to review places that are part of a chain, but I frequent this particular one so often I feel it would be rude for me not to provide my insight on the ones I have visited. This particular Be At One is my favourite. It’s a mere stone’s throw away from King’s Cross station and sits opposite a fabulous little Ethiopian restaurant, which I also recommend you visit. The layout of this bar is light and airy; there’s not much in the way of seating, but the little booths they provide are super cute and cosy; great for a few drinks and a chat, before the music gets turned up after happy hour finishes. The happy hour is the main reason I frequent Be At One, to be honest. It’s excellent value for money. I highly recommend the mint julep and whisky sour at this particular branch! The staff are super friendly, and will chat and crack jokes the entire time they’re making your drinks. Definitely worth a visit for a couple of cocktails before getting your night started properly.

We came here twice before we went back to the states, just because the service and cocktails were that good. Our bartenders(Alex and Matt I believe) were so awesome. Porn Star Martini is obviously delicious, and the blueberry muffin is out of this world. Also, if you’ve never had a spring bok shot, try one here! We came here for two for ones on Sunday. So keep in mind thats two of the same drinks for the price of one. So amazing, and so close to the station.

Lovely cocktail bar near kings cross. They do lots of interesting cocktail such as Popster, a cocktail made of popcorn. Music is really old school but the whole environment is warm and welcoming. It gets really busy on Fridays and Saturdays. The cocktails are not cheap cheap but if you go during happy hour they are 2 for 1! Love this place.

Ping-ponged in here after not liking Simmons and there being no space in Bar Pepito. Staff lovely and place generally has a friendly, non-pretentious vibe. Pretty cavernous space — but tucked away in their window nook, felt quite comfortable. Ordered a Negroni and my friend some tropical cocktail. Both were alright but not outstanding. Would def consider dropping in here for a quick drink if had to kill some time locally.

Your standard Be At One, the limited seating seems to be more spread out though, and it is surrounded by windows for people watching. A nice around-the-corner location from some other places– it’s nice not to step into a crowd of people on the street. There was a bartender who seemed to be enjoying happy hour himself as he was singing along to the music. If you like 2-for-1 cocktails, there’s no place else I’d rather be.

As an American in London, I had been finding it hard to find a bar with proper bartenders that really know how to make a drink… until this Saturday. I decided to come to this bar having seen the franchise around London and being in the King’s Cross Area. The bartenders all know how to make a plethora of drinks, and properly! Also, on the Saturday that I went, there was a band playing(a guy with a guitar who sang and another guy who was drumming on a box) and they were excellent! It was exactly the kind of music you wanted to hear when you are out for a drink and trying to be social. Overall, I am very pleased with this bar and will be coming back very soon(and hopefully that cute band is playing!)

When my night starts at Be at One, I know it is going to be a good one. Obviously the happy hour is a huge draw, who doesn’t love ordering(and paying for) one drink and receiving two. However even outside of happy hour Be at One is a good place to be. There is such an abundance of cocktails, one for whichever mood you are in. If you fancy an ice cream cocktail on a warm day there are many to choose from, I would recommend the Irish disco biscuit — it comes with a whole oreo in it, need I say more? Or if after a long day you need something short and strong then I might suggest a Negroni. But unless you have a strong aversion to every cocktail ever invented I am sure that you will find something that you will like, I am often torn between trying something I know I really love or trying something new. If you are going in a group then it is really easy to book a table through the website, the staff tends to be very helpful, friendly and efficient. It is not a huge bar but this can add to the atmosphere. They also have a range of non-alcoholic cocktails, and will also make most of their list without alcohol if you wish. The staff always give great recommendations, for those times when anything will do — or you don’t know what you want, this happens surprisingly often for me but I have never been disappointed when taking their suggestions. I have so much admiration for the staff who remember how to make all of the many cocktails that they offer, and tend to take 8 orders at a time and sometimes make many drinks simultaneously, it is really interesting to watch and marvel at, I have usually forgotten my order before the drink arrives so dont know how they do it!

Sehr freundliche Bedienung und leckere Cocktails in gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Wir hatten das Glück zur Happy Hour zu kommen. Zwei Cocktails nur einen bezahlt.

Kind of a standard bar experience for your Friday/Saturday night in the King’s Cross area, but definitely in a great location on the corner. They have normal, high priced cocktails, but the drinks are strong and the service is fast. The most notable thing about Be At One is how much fun the servers seem to have, singing along, dancing, climbing about the bar and keeping the customers happy. It makes the whole experience of waiting to get to/at the bar much more enjoyable. I think it’s a nice enough place, plenty of tables for groups and a good space to dance in the middle of the bar. They also play a good range of music that keeps things interesting. It’s nothing out of this world, but it’s definitely fun if you’re in the area.

Another Be At One bar in London(one of thirteen, according to their website), and is in much the same vein as the others. The music is loud and popular — although not usually current but cheesy or catchy rock and pop songs from decades past. The crowd — and there will be a crowd — is bustling and bubbling but, to my surprise, wasn’t a young crowd. Instead it seemed to be made up of folk ranging from their mid-twenties up to fifty-somethings, perhaps this is because I’ve only been on a week night and not weekends though. Also, and indeed most importantly, the cocktails are plentiful. The Happy Hours are as follows: Monday — 4:30pm to 12:00am Tuesday through to Sunday — 4:30pm to 8:00pm Two for one cocktails during Happy Hours! Hurrah! And free wifi — all the time! Double hurrah! So far I’ve just been once and that was a Thursday, so more research is required and an update to be brought about at a later date. TTFN, Ian

2 for 1 cocktails are amazing Download the iPhone app for b@1 to extend your happy hour, £9 for 2 cocktails after the initial happy hour! woot woot~ Friendly staffs are a plus, their drink menu seems endless, my fav dry cocktail remains as Diablo– tequila and ginger. Frozen bellini and candy pants are also good! The place does get a little crowded during happy hours with suited men who just came out of the office. But there’s also a mixed crowd with some ‘not-all-down-to-business’ type of peeps. Overall, I love coming to this place every week with my good ol’ pals. Def check it out for their amazing cocktails and happy hour deals! *CHEERS*

I have always been a fan of B@1 Bars what is there not to like about decent priced cocktails that are of a good quality? However I would say that this one one of my favourite bars unlike others it’s light and airy, feels really homely and is in a perfect location in case there are train delays at Kings Cross Did I also mention it was on my bus route. I would recommend this bar it’s great for an after work drink and without a dance floor it didn’t get too rowdy!
