Hungry for some retro 60’s and 70’s action; well then get your wrist stamped at this ecclectic place near Russell Square. Its close to the big universities in London and does tend to have a big student crowd. Not a big fan of this music genre, I along with other friends have been coaxed into visiting this bar on a number of occassions. The music is loud when its live, especially when the DJ is in action. To watch my friend and his piers dance away in swaying crazy arm and body movements is alarming to the sight. They are so comfortable and in tune with the moves of the genre. The odd bit is the dance floor is carpeted! They must have quiet a cleaning session everyday. With a screening at the entrance, its a perfect place to take your date on a retro evening out. You watch a film first and then proceede to either bowling or the bar itself. For Bowling you have to book your lane, and once there you can order drinks and ‘Lane snacks’ to your fill. Very informal set-up this place a nice mixture of activity under one roof. Very cleverly planned and spread out. Each activity has its own identity and works well together.
