Autolec have contacted me since this review was placed. They stated that they passed me details of Anerley Auto Electrics, a separate independent person, who does not represent them in any way, however this wasn’t made too clear at the time. Please, please agree with AutoLec who is carrying out the work!!! — — — — — — — — — — — - Tip: Agree up front what will be done, how long it will take, how it will be done and how you are going to pay. Turns out the auto electrician(Anerley Auto Electrics) couldn’t do all the work himself so called in ‘favours for cash’ — of course none receipted but didn’t tell me until it came time to pay. Fair enough the electrician did well and arranged all the work to be done(he was friendly and got to give him his do’s) but he did then refuse to accept any other payment than cash with no receipts. Which basically means for my £500+(a LARGE amount of money for me), I have no comeback for any of the work done, no receipts/guarantees, on top of that he refused to return my vehicle(then taking it 14 miles away) and did not contact me. I offered a BACS transfer(immediate cash transfer), to pay autolec with debit card, cheque, etc, but I just wasn’t comfortable paying that amount in cash. I’m afraid AutoLec weren’t then interested in dealings between the electrician they use and me.
