Before I went on my health kick (waiting for my Courtney Love Versace Oscar moment) I used to visit Aroma Spice regularly. Aroma Spice does really good Indian food notably, a fantastic mushroom pilau rice. They do a great Madras sauce (which I nick from the girlfriend, as I like Chana Masala) and they make their food comparatively less oily than many other Indian takeaways. Whilst you wait for your food (if you do pick-​up, which is a 10% discount) you can browse old trashy ‘zines and sit on a sofa. The staff has always been nice to me at Aroma Spice.
