Angus Steakhouse

I took the BBQ ribs, I was surprised by the size of it and the sauce. There was not enough sauce, it was really dry. The ribs + the sweet potatoes fries were huge for me, too much. My father took the pepper steak. It was not really hot, a bit cold. I don’t think we will come back again.
My biggest surprise was when the server, put what he wanted as tip and asked us if it was ok for us to give him this. I know That service is not included but I was surprised that he chooses what he wanted us to put

Very convenient to Paddington Station. My wife and I were staying at the Hilton across the street and decided to give our a try on our last night in London. The food was tasty and more than adequate. Service was a bit slow but there was a huge group downstairs which strained the system. Not what I would call world class cuisine but certainly a good place to eat if you’re in the area.

Chicken Alfredo… One word, ‘nasty’… Served on sliced fried potatoes, Why? Sauce out of a can, mushrooms out of a can… Yeesh

Loved this steakhouse right after going inside. If you miss the German Blockhouse, you’re at the right spot. Friendly and personal costumer service and a delicious meal made my stay lovely. I got the beef salat (the beef was perfectly medium well, just as I ordered) and I’d order it again sometime I go there. The prices are completely fine when you see this high class food you get here. I’m really looking forward to go there again when I’m back from Germany.

Food was actually descent, but the service was poor. Finished my glass of vine and nobody cared to ask for a refill until I finished my meal and then there was no sense in ordering more!!!

Slow service combined with low-​quality, over cooked steaks and higher than expected prices make this a must miss. You’d have a better meal at the Burger King next door.

I was staying across the street at the Hilton and was starving. It was getting late and a lot of the Pubs near Paddington apparently close their kitchens early. I walked about 3 miles looking for some Pub grub and went into 4 Pubs and all I ended up with was a pretty good buzz. I stumbled back towards the Hotel. I have been by this place a bunch on various visits to London but knew it as a tourist trap, however, I was now famished and hammered. I had to eat something so in I went. Ordered a big Rib-​eye and a fine Bordeaux. It was fantastic. The service was pretty good too. It was pricey but I was on per diem. I had a great night! Thanks Angus Steakhouse.

I have fond memories of this restaurant because when I first came here a few years ago there was a bomb scare across the street and I was asked to leave immediately without paying. Handily located by Paddington Station if you have an hour to kill before your train, this is one of a London-​wide chain that ordinarily has a reputation as a notorious tourist trap. Sure enough, the bill on my recent re-​visit came to a stonking £29 for an 8oz sirloin, chips, mushrooms and a pint of lager. Value for money is not what you get here usually then, although I must admit they do know what they’re doing with a steak — mine was delicious. Anyway, pending a pools win I think I’ll call it quits with Angus now as I reckon the two meals I’ve had for the one £29 is about right. By the way, popping downstairs to use the facilities before leaving, I discovered positively the smallest gents’ toilet I’ve ever been in. Really it wouldn’t make it as a decent broom cupboard.

Direkt an der Hauptstrasse gelegen, daher bissel laut. Habe ein Black Angus Steak dort gegessen, sie rühmen sich die besten Steaks der Insel zu machen. Meins war leider sehr Sehnig, schade. Der Lachs zur Vorspeise war hervorragend. Der Service ist sehr gut und schnell. Immer voll und die Tische stehen etwas eng. Preislich im oberen Segment, für 10Oz Steak ca. 20 Pfund, dafür gibt es Softdrinks im Bodenlosen Becher;-)
