Angel Beauty Parlour

Very good place for threading. You don’t need to make an appointment, just walk in and the friendly staff will try to be with you as soon as possible (I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes). They do a good job and it’s a bargain, £5 for eyebrows and upper lip. Sure it’s not a glamorous salon, but they are very professional and I’ve been pleased every time I’ve been here (and that’s what matters!)

I got my eyebrows threaded here a while ago, and they did a very mediocre job on them. They screwed up my arch, took off way too much at the ends, and left stray hairs everywhere. My skin rarely reacts when I get my eyebrows threaded, but after I came here, it was red and itchy for several hours. Sure, it was only £3, but I’d rather shell out a couple more pounds and go somewhere else.

Excellent value — I get my eyebrows threaded here and the women are so quick I am in and out within 10 minutes — and it only costs £3.
I would definitely suggest Angel Beauty Parlour if you are willing to travel all the way up to NE London.

I had always been to Topshop to get my eyebrows threaded and found it an expensive and often frustrating experience. Sometimes I’d get there and there was no one around, or there would be a long queue.
It was with much delight that I unexpectedly stumbled upon this gem of a beauty parlour. Here, you can get your eyebrows and upper lip threaded for £5. Bargain compared to the £17 or so for Topshop.
Step out of Whitechapel tube and turn left, a few metres up, there’s a board advertising Angel. Go up the rather shabby stairs and through the curtained door on your left and you end up in a dishevelled room that’s occupied by either 2 or 3 ladies busy attending ladies. I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes (don’t be fooled by the large number of people waiting — many are just friends) and there’s always a smiling friendly face. So for threading, this is definitely my top recommendation.
They also offer other treatments such as manicures, pedicures, bleaching, massage, piercing and bleaching. However, I’ve only tried the waxing and had a bit of a shock. I asked for Brazilian with which they laid me down on a bed right next to the window (I was a little nervous since it was a busy Saturday morning and we were only 1 floor up) and I had 2 people attending me IN GREAT DETAIL. It was only when I sat up that I realised their definition of a Brazilian is everything off. Scary shock. But with regards to the final appearance I can say they were definitely thorough!
