Nice pub perfect for a quick stop off on a walk or ride down the canal. It has a loads of benches out side so great for catching some sun. We came last week and they had a massive speaker playing some disco beats! We haven’t tried the food but there is a jerk chicken Pop up stall being set up!

Love, love, love this pub. Been going there since the 70s. Log fire in the winter, barbecue with brazier in the summer, always a cabaret, though not an official one. Characters go to this pub(ohmigosh; one of them’s me!) What happens at the Anchor & Hope stays. well, you know the rest. Great beer, guest beers, often live music from local bands, football on the telly sometimes. Music channel sometimes. Often a sing-song, occasional jam. Free-range kids ‘n’ dogs. Come on the 29th June to an all-day shindig. See you.

Fullers pub on the River Lea, usual range of beers with guests thrown in, a lot from«Gales». Lots of smokers outside. Could be better, could be a lot worse. Has improved immensely, now has 4 hand pumps, today dispensing Pride, ESB, Gales HSB and Spring Sprinter, nice fresh Golden Wonder cheese’n’onion too, good cylcing stop.

very nice fullers house by the river lea, very small house, but well kept ales, london pride, and esp. are great. known this pub for many years and amazed its still there with many around that area closed now. but i dont know of many fullers houses that close down. only problem with this pub is walking back up the very steep hill after a few pints of esp.
