Talk about hitting the jack pot! Yes, that’s what I did. Besides not having my size in the three pairs of boots that caught my eye, my shopping experience today was FABULOUS! The sale prices were out of this world, best customer service since entering the UK. The salesman on the floor were so accommodating and helpful going back and forth fetching shoes. They were just wonderful! FYI: this location is a clearance.

The staff in here are so friendly and helpful. I bought a scarf a few months ago and one of the floor assistants insisted she get me a new one that had not been opened from packaging, she went upstairs and got it to me. I agree that the shoes — some are gorgeous other are quite confusing to look at. There is always a sale on here which is quite handy, they also have a wide bags, accessories and men’s range.

EEk! Me thinks not! This place makes Mattalan look like Harrods. Badly displayed, and this unoriginal cast offs have been blatently knocking around some warehouse in Slough, for the past five years. Please. They call themselves a ‘Sale Shop’ Pah. I’ve seen less whoppers from Pinocchio, and trust me we used to date. I honestly couldn’t see anything, anyone would be stupid enough to buy. They were charging like £70 for a pair of shoes I’d never even heard the make of. The cheapest thing I could find was bargain bag of Clutch bags priced £20, BARGAIN?!(I heard the voice in my head screaming…) these look like they come free with cosmo darling… One word. tacky, Capital T

In general, Aldo has shoes which can be hit and miss. The misses are pretty awful designs, but the hits are usually quite alright. This particular Aldo in London holds a random mix of shoes, mostly the not so nice ones. However, this is the shop you want to go to for the good Aldo deals as it is its sale shop. Once in a while I like to pop in here and usually have managed to find something worth buying. I once bought 2 for 1 shoes for about 30 pounds, a great leather bag for 20. You just have to ignore the unattractive layout and shelf after shelf of rather ugly things, as the harder you look, you probably will find something you like.

Aldo is quite a dour, personality-less little place found on the Camden High Street that swaps life for efficiency, with an array of the same old clothes and shoes laid out across brutal looking shelves. It makes for easy shopping, but not so easy on the eyes. You can’t really recognise the brands on offer, and the staff seem to be as bland as everything else. However, their are quite a lot of choices available so for a primark-like entity in Camden, come here.

Aldo is so generic it almost hurts. I’m sure it has some good shoes if you’re a tele-marketer heading for that beloved promotion to ‘Team Leader’, but I think the joy ends there. Sure, they have a decent range, but I fear the quality is somewhat lacking with a whole lot of those random brand-name shoes noone’s ever heard of… to be honest though, it’s probably as good a quality as most of those shonky shoe stores in Camden…

Aldo is a decent fashion and shoe store along Camden’s main stretch, though the best part of it for me was finding a seat to people to watch while the Mrs shopped. My head frequently gets lost in the thousands of variants of female shoes, though after visiting Aldo my knowledge of the difference between pumps, stilettos and boots is a little better. Many bargain bins are to be found in this store too, a welcome addition to Camden’s sometimes overpriced fashion stores. The rush seemed to begin shortly after I had walked into Aldo. Enraptured ladies were loving all that was on display. Seeking a means to escape, I located the door and waited for a gap to open so that I could make a beeline for the sweet, sweet light outside. Taking my first step, I felt little nails dig into me. Whoops, I almost forgot the Mrs, who hadn’t quite finished shopping yet. Settling back into my comfortable seat, I had to move escape plan forward until Aldo and I meet again.

I like Aldo. They have a good selection of shoes that are geared more towards social dress than work. I have never seen them not adverising a sale.(Is this just a marketing ploy to get people in?) Either way the average price for a pair of italian looking, cool looking kicks is about £40. Even if you don’t find what you want here, Camden has a plethera of shoes shops to choose from
