Caviar House Prunier Seafood Bar Gatwick South Terminal

The South Terminal at Gatwick Airport has never been my favourite place, its always too crowded, too hot, too chaotic and too full of memories of waiting for delayed flights. Let’s hope the ongoing redevelopment results in a transformation but for now the North Terminal remains my firm favourite. However, the South Terminal does have one redeeming feature and that is the Caviar Prunier Seafood Bar located just off to the left as you come airside from the main security area, or at least it was on Monday but with the ongoing alterations things are very fluid and they may have moved! Unlike all of the other seafood bars that I have seen which are set out in an island design this one is in a rather cramped space let into the wall giving it a rather claustrophobic feel BUT it is still an oasis and still serves the same range of light, fresh seafood, including of course oysters, smoked salmons, crab and for those who can afford it caviar all accompanied by a great range of wines and champagnes. Yes I am a fan and if you want somewhere special to start off a trip or to celebrate a successful business trip its well worth the time and the money.
