This is a part of the 42 acres redeveloped by Grosvenor in the Liverpool One project. It’s a small area of grass and raised beds of shrubbery(reminds me of Monty Pythons Knights of Ni). There is a lit walkway next to some pools which are perhaps meant to be symbolic of the City’s past. It gives the history of dock builders, tidal changes and passing psycoanalysts. Apparently medieval ships would dock against presumably medieval timber piles of the sea lake/pool below the Norman castle on the rocks. The castle is where the Victoria monument is now and is the reason the crown courts look like they do.
