We stopped in for some wine and appetizers. I appreciate that langoustines were available. However, they were a bit overcooked. That’s a shame because they were so expensive. The oysters were delicious though.

I really love seafood and this is the best restaurant in Merseyside for having fresh delicious fish. Venue: Original, very Italian and cute décor(lovely atmosphere– great for first dates ;)) Food: I would love to have given 5 stars but the starter of 3 Scottish Langoustines(£5.95) were just bland and small although they looked big. My main course was risotto with sautéed sea asparagus and Haydock — this dish was just mouth watering and divine! Service: The staff was very lovely and recommended us the ‘dish of the day’ which I really enjoyed! Thank you!

Outstanding food, good service, unpretentious, fair prices. Everything was homemade including the pasta and pudds. The prawns were not frozen previously. The waiter was friendly and helpful. Now this is what a 5-star restaurant looks like.

This unassuming restaurant on Bold Street is phenomenal. Some of the best, freshest, most delicious seafood I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. We were heading up Bold Street with the intention of going to Chinatown for dinner when Mr H was sidetracked by a sudden urge to bet on a horse. We went into a random bookies and while waiting for said horse to run I asked the girl behind the counter if she had a favorite Chinese restaurant. She replied that she wasn’t a big fan but would highly recommend The Italian Club Fish just a few doors down. Without a reservation on a busy Friday night we were still seated pretty quickly and the meal that followed was superb. Just over a year later(we no longer live in Liverpool but visit) we took my parents and the food was just as good(we’d eaten at The Panoramic the night before which was good but the food here was better!). The smoked haddock risotto with crispy leeks had the perfect flavor and no «bitiness» that you can sometimes get with risotto. The smoked salmon starter was generous and the salmon was perfectly and delicately smoked — a very clean flavor. My Mom raved about the King Prawns. Great wine list, friendly staff and perfectly cooked seafood. Highly recommend!

We were a table of 7 and the dishes we had were very good. Service was slightly awkward and exceptionally slow — and they were not busy. Just three other tables occupied while we were there. But once the food arrived, it was prepared very well and enjoyed by all.

I like the place, simple and small, oldfashioned bright daylaight. I had a very kind service, theosters were fresh and delicious, so were the scallops. The monkfish well prepared and very tasty. The prices are absolutely ok for the high quality. I would always come back. One of my favorites.

Scallops Clams Oysters Pan-fried king prawns Crayfish Calamari Haddock Pollack Lemon Sole Mussels Tuna or Lobster? I know that fish is an ethical issue these days with certain stocks in short supply. The problem is, it’s cooked and flavoured so delicately at The Italian Club Fish that it’s hard to say no. The fact the dishes are created with obvious love and authentic ingredients makes it even harder.

The Italian Club Fish is one of two Italian Club’s along Bold Street, with this one obviously dedicating itself to fish dishes. The restaurant is privately owned by a couple with a Scottish-Italian background hence there is a British-Italian influence on their menu. One thing you can guarantee here is that all food is freshly prepared and cooked. Fish is always of the highest standard and that’s what makes their dishes so seafully tasteful. The time it takes to receive your dish may take a while longer but it is worth the wait, especially if you’re a fan of fish. The owners are really friendly and attentive too. If there is any dish I would recommend, then it would be a classic one of Haddock and Chips coming in at £9.95(a little pricey) but worth a treat and cooked to perfection!

Authentic, homely, tasty and passionate all words I would use to describe Italian Club Fish. Located on Bold street in amongst a menagarie of shops and eateries this is an excellent restaurant which shows real passion and creates beautifully tasting food. The menu here is diverse and wonderful from the obvious fish dishes right the way through to a particular favourite of mine The Italian Club Sandwich priced at five pounds fifty and featuring tastes which melt in your mouth particularly the pantetta and chicken. The staff are wonderfully attentive and the décor is brilliantly light and refreshing. This is a great place for either lunch or an evening meal which is not too pricey at all. Good value and great food is what you get here on top of a really pleasurable dining experience. There are italian places in Liverpool that could learn from the way that Italian Club Fish goes about their business bravo to them. Definitely worth a reccommendation.

I have had this dainty little restaurant described to me as ‘twee’ before I took a trip through into its pretty white-washed interior, and although sweet, it certainly isn’t sickly. It’s the little touches which make it; the hearts cut out of the backs of painted white wooden chairs, the framed photography, the printed version of Auld Lang Syne on the wall around the back(Is it universal that no-one knows the second verse to that?) These give it a delicate charm and character which is only reinforced by the quality and presentation of the delicacies on offer. We went in for a light lunch on a hot sunny afternoon after having a craving for some fresh fish. I thoroughly recommend the pan-fried king prawns(they come in the most delectable chilli, lemon and garlic marinade and are infused with flavour). And came on the cutest painted plate shaped like a fish! My friend ordered the Insalata Club Fish which I can say was divine(share and share alike!) The asparagus, perfectly cooked and the crayfish tails… well see for yourself. Yum. Perfect for a peaceful meal where high standard and freshness are the order of the day.

Sadly I’ve only visited this restaurant once. But what an experience! This tiny Italian is crammed with atmosphere, great food and great wine! We had the crabmeat and lime risotto and the fish pie when we visited, both of which were fantastic. The service was quick and professional and the wine was fantastic. They have quirky custom made plates and bowls etc shaped like fish and they served the wed wine in an ornamental carafe which gave the restaurant great character. A lot of my friends have eaten here and I’ve only ever heard good things about this restaurant. It’s partnered with ‘The Italian Club’ café which is based on the opposite side of Bold Street further down the road and is also fantastic. I would recommend them both to anyone visiting or living in Liverpool. The only downside is that it’s a little pricey, with a full menu and pricelist available on the website listed.

The Italian Club fish is a little café situated on Bold Street, it serves Italian and British style fish dishes. There are non-fish meals but they are nowhere near as good quality as the fish meals. The fish is cooked to order and is fresh — always a bonus with fish. This can take a little longer but is worth the wait. Sometimes the meal you’re after isn’t available due to the freshness but they do always try and provide you with something similar. The staff and service is ok, they sometimes try a little too hard and take your dishes before you’ve finished but I think this is out of boredom and frustration than anything else. Overall, it’s not bad if you’re a fish lover but there are many other cafes and restaurants on Bold Street that would be my first choice.

Best place I’ve ate in in Liverpool. Lovely food, not all fish. Nice big portions. Lovely décor. Most of all, delicious food. Highly recommend, even for non-fish lovers.

Went with great expectation as friends had said it was great. First thing I hated were the chairs, probably OK if you have long legs, I’m 5 foot 5 so not tiny but my legs were dangling and the edge of the chair seat was hurting my legs as it dug in. We ordered olives for starter — they came with the main meal, although when they did come they were nice — even if we didn’t get a plate or anything to put our pips on! I had moule marinier — despite asking for a large bowl in which to put the shells I was given something little larger than a teacup — ended up putting them on the table which made a right mess so they decided to clean it up, whilst I was still eating and without being very careful about sweeping it on to my bags and coat! The moule were served with chips in a large mug — well I say chips — they were in fact doorsteps of luke warm potato of varying quality, and of varying levels of cooking. I was hungry so I ate them but they were horrid. No bread was supplied for the moule. To top it, went to the loo and no toilet paper — it wasn’t busy, only one other table was taken and the waitress was folding napkins, it wouldn’t have hurt her to check the loo. Would I go again? Very unlikely.

Sorry but this was a great disappointment, perhaps we went in with too high hopes. Starters ok, specially the battered oysters(delicious) but one of our party went home hungry as they could not eat their seafood spaghetti(cold when brought out and had to be sent back) and batter on the fish was very greasy, fish was nice and moist though. As for the Tirasmisu. bland bland bland. I hope we went in on an off day.

This only only opened this week at the very top end of Bold Street in a newly refurbished building. The restauarant is really tastefully done with a beautiful restored original shop front complete with gold lettring listing the types of food it specialises in. This is family run and immediately I was impressed by the warm friendly welcome we got. I wasn’t sure how a fish restaurant would fare in Liverpool which historically hasn’t been too adveturous when it comes to food but I need’t have worried. Calssics like Lingunie Alle Vongole(linguine pasta with clams) are really well handled. There is a steak option for meat eaters and chicken milanese(in breadcrumbs) for the less adventurous. We all had fish options and it was brilliant. Tip the bread and olives nibble are the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Another cool addition to Bold Street — Liverpool’s most interesting shopping street.
