If you’ve always liked the idea of following in the footsteps of Andy Warhol and Robert Rauschenberg and making your own screen prints, you should sign up for one of the print studio workshops at the Bluecoat.
There’s a choice of full and half day workshops, introductary sessions and short courses in everything from introductary and advance screen printing, level etching, gum arabic transfers, collographs and relief printing vinyl to printing onto fabric. Courses are taught by local artists, print technicians and artists in residence with the goal of creating and nurturing a community of print-​makers. No experience is neccesary and at £60-£120, courses are reasonably priced too.
