Interestingly, the owners of Ju Fu decided that having your name as ‘Ju Fu’ on the front of the shop, as well as ‘Chinese and English Fully Licensed Restaurant’ wasn’t quite clear enough, so they decided to put some Chinese symbols on it too. Just in case it wasn’t clear that they were a Chinese restaurant, of course. From the outside, Ju Fu does look quite dated(as Isabel pointed out) but once inside, the restaurant looks and feels comfortable enough. The food here is all made to a decent standard, but I prefer to get Chinese meals from the chippy generally, to take away. They do takeaway at Ju Fu, but it’s just not the same. If I go to a Chinese restaurant, I’m more accustomed to it being an all-you-can-eat and whilst the quality of food in such restaurants isn’t quite as good, you know what you’re getting there and what to expect. That said, my problems with Ju Fu are personal ones and questions of what I’m comfortable with, so if you fancy going for a Chinese meal that is fairly high quality and served by friendly, helpful staff, then check Ju Fu out.

The Ju Fu situated on Maghull’s Dover Rd is a quality Chinese restaurant. It looks a little dated from the exterior but the interior is traditional and welcoming. As well as eating in, you can takeaway, although I’m not sure why you’d want too as the waitor service in here is superb. They do a range of both English and Chinese dishes, and offer a four course set-price menu except for on Saturdays. The seafood hotpot is quite unlike anything I’ve ever tried before, and as a fish fan I thought it was excellent. This restaurant also does a better range of desserts than most Chinese’s do, I was very content with my cheesecake indeed! A truly relaxing and enjoyable dining experience.
