This is a place you have just got to go too, starter(garlic mushrooms) main 1 ½ racks of BBQ ribs, no room for the sweet. Not cheap, but not overly expensive, on the site of the old Liverpool airport, we hit this place once a month, if it’s your birthday, then your meal is free. Well worth a check out if you are in the area.

I work adjacent to this place so unfortunately need to visit now and then. The food is very average, fairly boring and flavourless. They claim to be the place for ribs, but I’ve had much better elsewhere. Service is friendly but quite inattentive throughout the meal. Might be good for a kids party?

Stopped at Damon’s for lunch with a coworker. Neither of us knew the area well, so when we spotted Damon’s, we figured why not, but had no idea what to expect. Apparently it is supposed to be a take on American food. I had a chicken and bacon sandwich while my coworker had the petite ribs. Each dish came with fries(chips) as well as a salad. I was more than happy with the portions as well as the heavy load of bacon on my sandwich. The chicken was a bit dry, but overall the flavor was enjoyable. The chips were adequate and the salad was fresh. As for the ribs, there was nothing but bones left on my coworkers plate. I’ll take that as a sign he enjoyed!

Damons is overpriced for it’s quality I didn’t enjoy my experience eating there they sat us next to a loud family with children so our meal was constantly interrupted the food was acceptable but not for it’s price however the toffee sundaes are brilliant and the staff are really polite having said that I will not be eating there again by choice.

Staff were very friendly and the overall service was excellent. It has a varied menu serving«American style» diner food in generous portions. But overall I found the Damon food experience as very average, bit drab and the quality pretty poor even as a American diner. But to be fair to them they seemed to have pulled the punters in as the place was very busy when I was there.

I went to Damon’s for my last birthday with my family. I had heard that if it’s your birthday you get a free meal so I phoned up to check. I was told to bring my birth certificate with me and the lady I spoke to booked my table. I arrived at the restaurant with my family and parked in their own separate car park, which had lots of free spaces. When we entered we were greeted warmly. The lady who greeted us read on my reservation that it was my birthday so she wished me a happy birthday and asked if she could check my birth certificate. She confirmed that was fine and showed us to our table. She took our drink orders and left us to peruse the menu’s. Damon’s is somewhat famous for it’s Steak, so we all ordered that. It arrived in no time and was cooked exactly how we had asked it to be. The steak was so amazingly delicious we were not disappointed at all. Once it was time for desert I ordered the most chocolaty thing on the desert menu. Just before everyone was served their deserts I was presented with a chocolate sponge cake with sparklers and candles in it at no extra charge. As we had ordered deserts this was boxed up for us to take home. I really enjoyed Damon’s. The food was excellent and they really made an effort to make me feel special on my birthday. I’ll definitely be going back for my next birthday if not before.

Deamons… I mean Damon’s!!! Damon.what a name!!! Very America also I may add. We here in England are used to Damien, the Americans however seem to have names that are more fun and cool than us. The menu has a lot on it so you will be spoilt for choice indeed. Damons are known for their BBQ or Char sui Ribs, which is probably why I hadn’t heard of them before.(Pig ribs!!!) Since I don’t eat pigs just like Samuel L Jackson’s character in Pulp Fiction(epitomy of cool, loved his reason for not doing so… fantastic. youtube it! In fact here’s the link ) I went for the steak and it was rose a rump good!!! 8 Oz and under £14 suited me fine, although must admitt it didn’t go down too well, and then it went down too well if you know what I mean!!! Anyway… Looking around the portions were sizeable enough to supersize anyone who would dare eat here regularly. I’d probably not go down that route to be hoest. Having said all that I do love a bit of variety and an American joint paints my picture nicely from time to time. So come excercise your«Damons» here and indulge in some wholesome if not slightly greasy filling food.

Either Damon’s restaurant on the Speke Boulevard is some kind of culinary Tardis inhabited by doppelgangers or, and I suspect this may be the more likely of the two theories, it’s a smallish diner in which one of the walls is simply a huge mirror. I know which idea I prefer. With its leather booths, patterned carpets and congenial staff, this simple eatery can feel like a roadside café, albeit the best one you ever did visit. The food is all delicious in a succulent, meaty way(even the veg) although some of it can get quite dear for something so basic. A great place to go for food though if you a) aren’t a pretentious tit and b) don’t live miles away.

With a Damon’s aficionado celebrating his birthday in Liverpool, this was a surefire choice of venue. The Lincolnshire restaurant is legendary with said guest, but Liverpool did not disappoint! Upon arrival the door was courteously opened and we were led through the unpretentious, American-style restaurant to our private booth where our drinks order and meal order were taken by a very sociable, yet respectful server. The food, including king prawns, lobster, and ribs, arrived quickly and cooked to perfection, and devoured readily in the relaxed atmosphere. In all honesty I felt that the meals, while generous, were a little overpriced– and £3 for a diet coke is a bit steep– but the deduction of a main course in honour of my guest’s birthday, and the complimentary sparkler-adorned chocolate cake more than made up for this! Check out Damon’s Special Offers and you’ll have a wonderful time.

If you’re out with children, this is definitely the place to be! It has a very relaxed atmosphere with an extremely varied clientele. Whether you’re grabbing a bite to eat before a night out, or just chilling out in your jeans and a tee, you’ll fit right in. The great deals are ideal for families, children under 12 eat free before 6pm, free meal on your birthday(ID required), and free chicken wings and coffee at the bar while you wait. The food is fab, always high quality and yummy — I’d strongly recommend the sweet and sour chicken wings and the onion ring cake. The only downside to this restaurant is that there can be a long wait between meals, but the décor always keeps up conversation. The walls are decorated with photos of film scenes, and playing the game of «what film is that from?» never tires.

I overlooked this venue as it looked rather old fashioned and drab, to be honest. But when invited here on a workds do, I went along and was pleasantly surprised. Inside, it’s plush, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. The menu is varied and there were a lot of tempting items on offer. I heartily recommend the twice baked potatoes which are crispy on the outside, and like butter on the inside, and full of flavour. The staff were really accommodating and helpful and I liked the tannoy announcements; this used to be one of the airport buildings in the old Speke airport. They also have an offer on where you get free food on your birthday(as long as you prove it and also excluding the lobster or the fillet steak).

Always worth a visit. Consistently good food and service. The staff are some of the best in the catering profession. I am a regular(at least once or twice a month). I still do not like the plastic plates though! But that will not put me off having some of the best food in Merseyside.

Amazing ribs and sizzling dishes. The ribs especially are must haves! This isn’t fine dining but its kitch and the happy hour cocktails make it fun and the service is always great, with the waiters making birthday guests feel special. I would suggest this place as a young teenage party destination.

Kids will love this, although I wouldn’t choose to go here for an adult only meal. Big american portions with free bread to start your meal off. kids eat free before 7pm and if it’s your birthday and you book ahead and take your birth certificate with you you get your meal for free and a nice chocolate cake with a sparkler in! very reasonable value, cheaper than frankie and bennies and places like that. Easy to get to situated just opposite speke retail park so you could always go here after a shopping trip rather than pizza hut or mcdonalds. Good car park and I believe you can also get take out at a discount.

Great restaurant, situated out by Speke retail park. It’s somewhere a bit different, so makes a nice change from the usual Pizza Hut or Maccies. Wide choice of food on the menu and some really interesting dishes. Absolutely HUGE portions so although it’s a bit on the pricey side, it’s good value for money. They have some great deals, such as free meal on your birthday, and happy hours. The ribs are amazing and the onion loaf is a unique idea and also very tasty. There is a great selection at the bar as well — you must try one of the ice cream cocktails! Definitely worth a visit, especially if it’s your birthday!
