The Cardan & Distil

Friday night catch up took my bester and I here for food and drinks. Service was great on arrival, seated and drinks within 5 minutes. Skipped starter and went straight for the kill. I ordered the venison, med/​rare. The wait was rather long and I received the venison med/​well. The couple beside us were served before us despite arriving 15 minutes after us. It came with a blackberry and chocolate jus… it was dark chocolate and too sweet for the meat. The beetroot and potato grattan was probably the best taste on the plate. I have been here for lunch before and I had a lovely meal. I’d say stick to light bites and drinks in future.

I have eaten in the Cardan numerous times. Great friendly service and the food is very good. Only downside, it is slightly over priced for the servings. In a nutshell I would recommend this restaurant for good food in Lisburn.
It is also the only place in Lisburn for nightlife at present. The Strawberry daiquiris are well worth the expense. Try it out!

This is two places in one! The Cardan referring to the bar and restaurant part and Distil to the nightclub. I haven’t been to Distil myself so I cannot comment but the Cardan is great.
We popped in here for lunch one day and were pleasantly surprised by the vast menu on offer. The restaurant is very trendy and modern and I imagine its a great place to come for a nice quiet drink. They offer several different menu options– lunch, evening, buffet, sunday and function. We were in for lunch and I went for the salt and pepper squid to start which was perfectly prepared and really well presented and then for my main I had the Chicken goujons with salad and chips which was great and very filling. The chips here I must say are great! Will certainly be back here again!
Prices are reasonable with a main setting you back £8-£9.

Eaten here once and although was very very quiet I could not praise the staff enough for the service they gave my child. Brilliant selection of toys available. All in great condition and suitable for different ages.
Food was OK, could be better but customer service more than made up for any food problems.

This place used to be fantastic but after my experience last weekend I (and the large group I was with) will not be back.
The staff, apart from one friendly waiter, were grumpy, sullen and unhelpful, from the waitress to the management. The food was mediocre at best.
