The Hare and Hounds

Visited for my Birthday back in March this year. Very unusual place with regards to décor, not horrible but a mismatch of different chairs, ornaments, etc. food was good and staff friendly.

upon returning from vacation, we missed our dog too much to wait for her drop off the following day so we took the train out to lingfield to pick her up. london-​lingfield runs hourly so the kennel owner (mind you, haxted kennel is hardly the type of kennel we have in the states) recommended this fine establishment, especially since jb was allowed with us.
cozy, neighborhood gastropub with local brew and locally sourced ingredients. the carrot and carmelized onion soup… well, can’t remember exactly what it was, but it was delicious. and don’t be fooled by the phrase «roasted potatoes» because they were more than just roasted potatoes. i think they may fry it a bit to give texture. even the caesar salad wasn’t just a caesar salad.
anyways, if you happen to find yourself an hour outside of london, check out this place. maybe even wear some tweed to fit it with the crowd.

Great pub for food or just for drinks. But once you go in for a drink and see the menu and food, you will probably end up eating.
