this is a nice pub, good mix of the old and the new. beer is always good. normally has one real ale on. never tried the food. gets quiet after 22:00 on Saturday

This pub is situated right in Lichfield Town Centre and is a a treat. It is very comfortable inside and the staff and locals are very friendly and welcoming. There is a smoking area around the back of the pub. This place can get very busy on Friday and Saturday nights and is a great place to meet up with friends. The prices are quite reasonable too.

I have just come back from a business trip which found me running from the rain in Lichfield. Completely by chance I stumbled into this historic town centre pub. What a wonderful surprise — great people very friendly, simple menu very very tasty. A wonderful lunch time treat — super fresh Cod in beer batter — cooked not heated up, with the most amazing chip and mushy pees. Deep fried camonbere to start — all in all superb. Go, seek it out — fish and chips worth travelling for.
