Impressed! Really fresh, delicious fish and chips from a truck! Lord Chips sets up — every Tuesday night for the past five years — in what seems to me to be a really odd place. It is a small parking lot in a dead end. You can get to it by car or by walking, and it is across from the Tesco Express in an unassuming neighborhood area. You can order cod in small, medium or large, which is awesome. The small is a great sized piece actually, totally great value. Again, very fresh. Tasted great. They leave the skin on, which is edible obviously, and doesn’t detract from the taste, but it is also easy to remove if you don’t want it. The chips are delicious you may want to consider salting and vinegar-ing them yourself because I heard they might be a little heavy handed in that. They’re battered sausage is not bad. Their regular sized sausage is large and tasty, but the batter does not stay on it. They also have things like Cornish pasty. The staff are very nice and friendly. There were three of them in the truck at the time, and they pack the food to-go very well so you don’t have to worry about spilling in the car. Looks like they also cater, and they have a local 2014 award for best fish and chips! Highly recommended.
