Ark House Veterinary Surgery

This is a pretty expensive vet, so the standards are set higher for me, as if I have to pay twice as much for anything I expect twice the service. The waiting area doesn’t have many seats, although having said that, it hasn’t been full any time that we’ve been there. The seats could be further apart, as having the seating that close means you run the risk of animals upsetting each other. The receptionists were friendly and polite, but didn’t automatically acknowledge my presence. I had to point out that I was waiting to pay, because they just ignored me. The vets I have seen have been friendly, kind and good with the animals. We have not had to wait more than 5 minutes past our appointment time. They did offer me a kitten pack when we took the kitten in for his first injections, which contained leaflets about the surgery and advertising for pet food and insurance. Overall, the service was fine, but for the price I would normally expect better, and will be locating a cheaper vet locally in future.
