History

Established in 1988.

Established within the Elm road medical centre in 1988 as the Leigh Osteopathic Clinic. We changed our name to The Leigh Clinic in 2010 with a total refit and the introduction of a wider range of specialist treatments to compliment Osteopathy such as Sports massage, Physiotherapy, Psychotherapy, Counselling and Medical reporting.

Business Owner

Stuart graduated from the prestigious British School of Osteopathy in central London after completing a four year B.Sc.(Hons) degree program. Following his graduation Stuart worked at the BBC in Great Portland Street treating radio 2 staff. He worked at a further two Essex based clinics before joining general practitioner, Dr Michael Alawi and Osteopath Derek Griffiths at 84 Elm Road, Leigh On Sea. After twelve years along side Dr Alawi in this NHS setting he took over the premises and re-​branded it as The Leigh Clinic.

Experience has refined Stuart’s osteopathic approach and treatment of bio-​mechanical and sporting injuries. He has a particular interest in injuries relating to leg mechanics and gait discrepancies and has spoken around this subject to various local societies. Stuart regularly attends training events to refresh and update his working procedures and knowledge. This has enabled him to offer acupuncture as a complimentary addition to his osteopathic approach.
