Stoney Stanton Fish & Chip Shop

stanton chip shop rearly is treat, great food and rearly nice clean place. never had a bad meal there. out of all the chip shops around here this is the best by miles in my mind. the only small issue is there staff sometimes seem slightly misserable, we can, t always be happy mind and i guess and its very hot in there all eve i spose. still never hurts to smile now and then and be more friendly. overall though great great chippy.

I’ve been using this chip shop for as long as I remember. We used to walk from neighbouring Sapcote to get here, now I live round the corner so it’s less hassle.
The chip shop itself went through a huge overhaul and it looks great. A large food display as you normally find and a big TV on the wall to numb the long waiting times when it’s busy.
The staff are friendly enough — the owner being Jean Klenk who was the first woman winner on Gladiators! Arooooga! I asked her recently if she was going to try out for the new Gladiators — she didn’t laugh so I’d leave it if I were you.
They have seating outside if you wanted to bring your wife for a romantic meal of kebab and Coke.
It’s on the main road as you come in from Hinckley (Hinckley Road, in fact) and there’s usually somewhere to park.
