This is the main railway station to come to Leicester. It is just over an hour away from London, It is on the main route from London to Sheffield, Derby or Nottingham. It is just slightly on the outskirts of town but only a short 5 minute walk to the town centre. It has been renovated so looks modern but still maintains its original Victorian features. It has a few coffee shops, cafes and shops such as AMT, Pumpkin Café, Upper Crust, WHSmith etc. If you have a BITE card then you get 20% off at selected cafes or coffee shops. The bus station is on the other side of town so its slightly out the way but if staying in town then super convenient. Not much else can be said as its a train station and it serves its purpose. I’m sure I will be coming back here in the future as I do come Leicester to meet friends and escape London every once in a while!
