Best Indian food in Leicester! I have been living in Leicester for a few years and we have no shortage of delicious Indian food — but this really is top notch.
The restaurant is cozy and unassuming and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. But it’s really the food that keeps us going back. The food is spiced perfectly with so many delicious, complex flavors in each dish. The staff are more than willing to make recommendations and even customize dishes to your liking. It’s also quite affordable for the quality that you get. I cannot recommend this place more highly!

I have visisted this curry house approx. once a ¼ every year and keep coming back because the staff are nice, look after you and help explain new and recommended dishes for you to try. Most importantly, the food is always of a high standard and reasonably priced.

I have been eating at the Grand Durbar for about 15 years (not every day of course, just once every month or two!).
It is about mid-​range on price, but I’ve never been disappointed with the food or the service, which is why I keep returning.
The food is very much the standard offerings you expect from an Indian restaurant. The taste is good though and the presentation and service is excellent.
The place is always full, so book before you go or you will probably be disappointed.
Many of the people eating here are Indian, which I think is a good sign that the food is authentic.
The staff, often the manager, will usually come over to your table during the meal to say hello and check that everything is okay.
