Great place to shop for projects like cosplay and making Jedi belts pouches and holders for your Jedi light sabre and very cheap and great fabrics and staff are very helpful and understanding and I would recommend this shop to anyone who likes making cosplay outfits and I go here sometimes for a bargain and they cross stitch patterns as well and needle work and dress making fabrics and great area to shop in as well

Perfect if you love sewing, they have all the basics in stock and a good range of buttons and ribbons. They also sell some patterns which are often discounted. There is some knitting stuff but if you’re really into your knitting the range of yarn is quite small and there’s not enough needle types. Pricier than the internet and the market but cheaper than John Lewis. Probably should be your first stopping point for haberdashery in Leicester.

i like this shop as its full of everything you need for art and crafts. my partner does a lot of cross stitch so im always in there getting what she needs. if you are ever stuck of what you need then there is always some one there to help

This is a really great shop if you like making things. I usually visit here to get my crochet hooks or knitting needles if I come across a pattern which I don’t have the correct size for. They have an extensive range of yarns as well, but like all wool now it’s proportionately much more expensive than it used to be — so sometimes you have to think hard if that Aran jumper is the best present for your nan!
This place stocks materials for loads of other crafts as well, if you like making cards or soft toys or your own clothes you will find something useful! It’s a really fun place to browse if you like little bits and bobs for making things and would be a great place to take kids and get them interested in creative activities. If you don’t do any crafty stuff you could still go in and talk to the staff, they’re always ready with very helpful tips and advice.

If you’re a crafter, you’ll be in hog heaven here. The place is wall to wall with wool, ribbons, buttons (natch) and other crafty accoutrements, and the staff know what they’re talking about. They’re always willing to order stuff in too, in the unlikely event that you can’t find what you’re looking for. A lovely gem — as sparkling and brilliant as the jars of sequins that they stock.
