This discount bedding shop caters for most bedding and cushiony needs, and also stocks a range of curtains. Prices are low, with an attractive double duvet set costing just £15. It’s a no nonsense sort of shop with space used well to accommodate as many products as possible… and there is quite a range. Most tastes are catered for with pretty, vintage inspired floral designs, plenty of plain and simple styles and some classier embroidered designs incorporating sequins and satin. The staff are helpful and friendly and the shop appears rather popular. If you are shopping on a budget yet are still seeking something with style or to suit a particular room, you are likely to find it here.

I’m not a hugely homely sort, and I am certainly not of the ilk who get giddy over curtain materials and matching cushions, so I was a pretty unlikely customer when I came in to shop at Yorkshire Linen Co. Despite this there was a ‘needs must’ situation whereby my boyfriend and I had just purchased a new king sized bed, as a result of this lots of new linen was required. Gah. It’s not the most fun to find a bed for a bargain and then have to spend more on the sheets! But, with the wonderful help from the ladies in Yorkshire Linen I was not going to leave disappointed. I told her the things that we needed and the styles that I like and the budget. It was pretty much, from there, job done! She knew the store back to front and so took me straight over to a lovely inoffensive cream embroidered sheet, duvet cover and pillow cases. Perfect. Curtains we found a mili second later, some gorgeous brown flower printed velvet effect full length curtains. Beautiful. And finally, to match in with my duvet cover from home, the curtains and carpet,(yes, I gave in to it) we got some lovely brown and purple cushions — you know, to tie it all together… I mean, even though I didn’t need the cushions, they do look pretty smart. Best of all the trip cost about two thirds of what it should have, she helped me to pick the sale items, and for the pain relief of the visit having only taken about 15 minutes or so, I was delighted. Perfect service, good prices and lovely stock. What more could you want?

Yorkshire Linen is essentially a discount bedding shop which sells duvets, throws, sheets, pillow cases etc and then a bunch of random Christmas things.(They might as well jump on the Christmas flogging wagon along with what seems like every other store in the world as soon as Halloween has passed) From the outside I thought it looked a bit tacky and naff(which most of it’s stock was) but then I discovered the duvets. They had one of their discount duvets hanging outside its packaging for you to touch and wow at the softness of its pearly white skin. I touched. It was immense. I wanted to curl up inside the box along with all the other duvets and sleep like a baby. I had succumb to their ‘interactive’ marketing ploy. «I don’t need a duvet!» I thought whilst obliviously reaching for my wallet in a trance… luckily I had no money. These soft and delightful winter necessities were priced as follows Single: £19.99 Double: £24.99 King: £29.99

This shop doesn’t look much from the outside, however once inside it has a vast assortment of bed linen, towels, cushion covers. The prices aren’t always dirt cheap but the products are excellent quality. I bought the most gorgeous lilac and cream bedspread that is a mixture of materials including satins and velvet, its brilliant especially for the winter as it just encourages me to stay in the warm in bed :)
