Avoid like the plague. Been in here a few times to evaluate the crack. There is a really bad attitude from the DJ’s and they think they are being funny on their mic to try and belittle you if you try and speak to them. It’s a case of look at me, look at me, look at me. How funny am I. Not at all mate, you make the bar look like it’s run by a set of c***s. Go elsewhere, seriously do.

An all round fantastic night out, it doesn’t matter what sexual orientation you are I can guarantee you forget the stereotypes people label you with when you are in this venue. As a non gay person I enjoy the atmosphere in this bar far better than any ‘straight’ venue. The Starlet showgirls are amazingly funny and sensational and are on stage at 6pm, 8pm and 10pm the new Brazilian show is extremely well put together so much fun in one place. Its fabulous, its flamboyant and most of all a friendly all round fun night out in Leeds. Located in Lower Briggate, Leeds it is close to the train station, bus routes and several hotels including the Leeds Marriott, it is a must experience venue for anyone enjoying a good night out stress free.

Awful. The bloke in a dress drag DJ shouted on the microphone not to worry about the straight looking guys at the front(us) as we were going to **** off soon. Heterophobic. The worst thing was some of our group was gay and even they will never step foot in the place ever again.

I love Viaduct these days, and I’m not ashamed to admit it! They have a courtyard area for the smokers, or those wanting some fresh air as it’s usually packed inside and they have some really entertaining DJ’s(if you’re around town on a Wednesday night then pop in for a games evening!) — and the drinks offers are amazing sometimes(I paid £4 for a double smirnoff & mixer plus a bottle of alcopop the other day!). The only let down for me is that early doors there are often large groups of dubious people who’ve been out drinking all day, who are there for the cheap drinks — but to be fair, these groups keep to themselves & don’t really bother anyone(tho that doesn’t rule out a bit of in fighting!). Give it a go, it’s a good laugh & certainly has a strong party atmosphere: o)

I like the Viaduct. I heard that years ago it used to be a rough pub where football fans used to go drinking. It’s not like that now, it’s a fun, vibrant bar in Leeds Gay Quarter. The staff are friendly and so are the people. Everyone is very acceptant of everyone else and you will find gays, lesbians and t-girls here on a night out! I am none of the above, but I love the bar and the great atmosphere. The only one thing I wish was that it was a little larger, it gets so busy and is a small bar, so can get very hot and cramped!

Fun, Fun, Fun This little gay showbar is excellent. and after its refurb to include a dedicated stage area at the back, to much improved toilets downstairs, tho they still could use a clean now and then. It oozes class, camp and cheesy music. Drinks are cheap and happy hour is now 12pm-8pm, Djs are excellent and each as there own style of music. The Drag Queens are excellent and have great show’s, Bar Staff are often freindly and quick to serve even during busy times they manage to dance and serve too often wearing little more than there pants and a generous amount of glitter. Weekends often have theme nights, Guest Drag Shows, charity nights. The weekend doorstaff here can seem a bit intimidating, but they keep the place safe, so give it a try

The Viaduct, hmmm, its a funny one. Without a doubt, especially on a Saturday it’s one of the busiest pubs I’ve ever been too, not necessarily a good thing. The décor is drab and is in need of a desperate update, the toilets too are slightly vile. However the place packs out and I’m sure its not the décor and toilets the people line up to come and see. Before Saturday’s Back Door Disco at Mission 2, people pack into the viaduct so much that you really would find it hard to walk from one end to the other. I think the reason for this is the clientele, it’s a really nice mix of young outgoing LGBT types but at the same time you’ve got your older generation who are a real hoot. Their in house drag DJ Anna Glypta plays the hottest tunes and hypes you up just in time for Back Door Disco. The atmosphere is great on a Saturday, and there’s a real family feel to it in contrast to other Leeds clubs which are more about how tight your jeans are or how big your fringe is. The Viaduct is downright welcoming and is sure to get you in the partying mood. My suggestion: Go on a Saturday if you’re in the mood to party, or why not try their Sunday roast for a quiet one to cure that Saturday night hangover.

The Viaduct has recently been refurbished as a «showbar» where they often hold gay-themed cabaret shows and the like. I must say I’m not a huge fan of Leeds’ gay scene(I’m not gay but that doesn’t invalidate my opinion!) but the Viaduct seems to be one of the pubs I can go in and always have a good time. The drinks prices and range is exactly what you’d expect from a city centre pub but I think this place is unique because of it’s entertainment. Also there is an adjoining takeaway and they even take orders from the beer garden, which is always a plus!

This isn’t going to be a proper review. Sorry Unilocalers. I’m not really in any position, though. The Viaduct is Leeds’ new lesbian, gay, bi and trans-gender nightspot. And I don’t fit into any of these categories. It looks colourful though? However, as a Manchester United fan — I couldn’t help but pass comment on the Viaduct’s transformation. Formerly a dark, dingy pub that had a notorious reputation as a fierce Leeds United-supporting hostelry, it’s quite amazing to see it today. It’s undergone real renovation and going by the listings, is definitely a welcome addition to the LGBT scene in Leeds.

This is quite a traditional looking pub in the centre of Leeds in the Gay area(watch for the Rainbow flags on the outside of bars and pubs). This was a spit and sawdust type no frills traditional pub up until around 3 years ago when it seemed to become the Lesbian centre of Leeds. Friendly service and welcoming atmosphere, certainly not exclusively Gay /Lesbian, and near to lots of other nice bars and pubs /clubs.
