To be honest I’ve taken my kids there age 15 and 7 and the staff were very nice and helpful, the food we choose was good value for what I paid for it

Love this whetherspoons probably the best one I’ve been in, loads of friendly staff to serve you, the best thing about this place though is the sun deck which is huge! Though I bet it’s very popular in the summer! With pints of Amstel and other great beers for 2.99 you can’t go wrong! They also do good bar food but don’t expect 5 star quality and you will be fine! Can’t wait to come back and enjoy it in the summer!

I tried to review this earlier but there is no Internet coverage in the outside seating area and my blackberry is total pants when it comes to Unilocal! As long as you sit on the balcony you are ok. But woe betide anyone who steps outside to wonder onto Millennium square as you have a definite boundary line that you are not allowed to cross whilst holding a drink. I think this is the best of the Spoons in Leeds as the location is absolutely spot-on and the mix of people is great too. Huge plus is that you can watch all the sporting or main tv events on a huge tv screen above All-Bar-One. The staff are great too. Fresh beer, great surroundings, great view, relaxed surroundings. All that is left is to review the food. What I saw of it looked good and all the diners returned a clean plate which speaks volumes!

I’m afraid I’m knocking a couple of stars off my previous review, went in for the grand national, place was heaving and only a couple behind bar and they seemed to prefer serving the young ladies rather than us blokes or even young men, my mate went to the bar 5 mins before the race, hoegaarden went off, bar man said he’d change it, they were busy cos it was quieter early on so manager let 4 staff go home Disappeared up other end of bar and started serving other people, he missed the race as he was still there at 4:45, still not served, and missed the race, went to veritas insead

Excellent Wetherspoons. Good food and good selection of wine and beer. Their burger and pint meal deal is very good for a lunch time outing from work. Never very busy at lunch times. Can get very busy after work as is in Millennium Square but adds to atmosphere. Lovely in summer when can sit outside, or when Chrimbo market is on in square. Much nicer Wetherspoons than some others in town(Beckett’s Bank, Stick or Twist). Did have one unpleasant trip couple of Christmas’ ago when a very large group of us pre-booked a Christmas meal, with orders in advance, arrived to find they had lost our orders, re-ordered, 30mins later(or there abouts) first order came out, these guys had finished eating and then some before 30th person got their food. It took about an hour and a half to get main meals. When it came to dessert some people gave up, others had to live with Christmas pudding with no sauce as they had run out. No apologies from manager. They obviously don’t do large groups very well. So would go with a couple of people but never again with a large group.

As far as Wetherspoons go, this one is big, cheap and acceptable, and the outside area is nice and even has its own non-smoking enclave. And what more would you want for food/drinks with workmates or friends? That’s exactly the kind of crowd this pub caters to. The food is decent, but the calorie count by each dish do put me off… which in some ways is a good thing. I’m not a big drinker, but I hear the alcohol selection is good, and I do like their«Burger and a Soft Drink» variant of the offer. There are always deals on for the thrifty, so you can eat, drink and be merry even in this economic climate. And the central location makes it a good meeting place.

The burgers were usually pretty good from here, unfortunately on my last visit the burger was full of gristle.

Whether or not Wetherspoons is somewhere you’d usually go, I’d recommend this particular Wetherspoons for a place to grab a couple of drinks after work or at the weekend before moving on somewhere else. The location is good — when it’s warm you can sit outside with a view of Millenium Square, the staff are fairly pleasant, and the people that go there aren’t the usual crowd you’d expect to see in a Wetherspoons. It tends to be populated by people who have just come from work and fancy a couple of drinks, so there’s a more relaxed atmosphere than I usually experience in a Wetherspoons. Of course, it’s not somewhere you’d want to stay all night, but definitely decent to pop in.

I still think the Cuthbert is a fairly standard pub but now Wetherspoons are making a big effort with identifying gluten free items and being generally helpful and this pleases me

Considering this is indeed a Wetherspoons, it’s a ruddy good place to grab a pint and a cheap bite if you’re in need. It’s been a while since I last visited here but even so, I’m not expecting the atmosphere will have shifted an awful lot. It was after a work meal out last year sometime, and we were on the look out for a nice enough spot to grab some easy ales and have a bit of a natter. I seem to recall, given the location I believe, it was rather busy and rather rowdy but even so the ambiance was fairly grand. As you can expect there are plenty of ales and the odd cider to choose from as well as a number of bottled lagers, and alcopops if that’s your poison. Pun intended. The outside seating area is probably the largest draw, that and the prices, given that during those summer months(days) you can relax outside in relative comfort with a rather lovely view of the square. I’ve never been and found trouble, although I’m sure on the weekend things get a little louder, and if memory serves the staff were rather friendly. All in all this place would probably be one of the few Wetherspoons I’d revisit, but then mainly for that patio spot with a cheap cold one before moving on into the evening.

I give this place 4 stars for two reasons the awesome location at M. Sqaure and the massive outside seating area for the summer months. This is your basic JD wetherspoons pub but it does have a good selection of real ale and you know your going to get a low cost drink and really basic mircowaved pre cooked pub food. During the summer months its just good to be able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and kick back and have a couple of cocktails with your friends and this place ticks that box. Not to mention the massive tv screen shows standard sport but you know that its not going to be heaving if say tennis is on so check it out on one of those days. If your the football lager drinking type then im sure its just up your road as well. It caters to everyone but the draw here is the sunshine and the outside seating.

As with all Wetherspoons pubs this one has been branded yet some of it’s original form remains. Based in the centre of Leeds, it’s name probably leads you to believe it’s a little classier than it perhaps is. Yes the tables are sticky and yes it’s packed with students, but this doesn’t take away from a great, and cheap, Wetherspoons experience. It’s location also means you can happily wander into any other bar in Millenium Square quite easily, with Revolution up the road and Carpe Diem down the road. Definitely worth checking out if you’re up that way!

Always a starting point on a night out for cheap drinks but is usually heaving at the weekend — a lot of the time with hen parties and the like so can be a bit rowdy! We always manage to find a table so is a good place to catch up with friends before you head off to somewhere a bit noisier!

The Cuthbert Brodrick is a Wetherspoon’s pub(you can probably tell by the silly name) so expect cheap food and drink and no music. Located in Millenium Square this is actually a decent Wetherspoon pub. There is small outside area which is good place to sit outside and there is an upstairs area with seats which is good if you’re having some food. The pub is very narrow and there is only about 5 yards from the front door to the bar so downstairs can get quite busy. As with most pubs Friday and Saturday nights are very busy. It’s an OK pub for an afternoon or early evening drink but when it’s busy it can be chaos.

Great place to come in the summer, but only if you can bag a table outside. It gets rammed quickly inside, and as it’s a Wetherspoons there’s no music or anything to keep you entertained, plus the staff are a pretty s l o w and could do with: a) pay rises b) kicks up the a*se c) smiling some more. But then, they work in a Wetherspoon’s. I always seem to drink blue WKDs in here, just so I fit it.
