It’s more a taste of an average British-Chinese takeaway than a taste of China itself, but this Chinese isn’t half bad. On the way back from watching a mate play football in Yeadon, we stopped off at this professional looking takeaway — well, I say professional… it was clean. We were greeted with a smile and some friendly chat, before quickly being presented with our order, which was pretty impressive considering that four of us ordered main dishes at the same time. We munched on some nice light prawn crackers while we waited, which costs us the princely sum of £1, before eating our massive dishes in the car. I had sweet and sour pork for a change on this occasion, and I found that it was somewhere between good and average. But that’s probably because I’m not a massive Chinese pork fan.

I am so impressed with the take-away I’ve just had(so impressed that I’ve come on here to write about it!) I think it is an old chinese nder new ownership or re-branded. The menu was put through my door and although I rarely(once every few months) phone for take-out I decided to give it a go. The food came in the delivery time promised(20 – 30 mins). Tonight I had: 15. Deep fried chicken wings with chill & salt, 63. Wandering dragon, 75. Szechuan beef plus fried rice. It was all delicious, plenty of meat and the veggies were crisp and delicious, the sauces were as described and they included free prawn crackers. All in all I’m full and very happy — will definately order again.
