Small rant, I don’t know how someone who brands themselves as the healthy alternative, can do so, when both me and relative ordered a tuna mayo potato, and had to search amidst the lashings of mayo for a snatching of tuna. It was more a case of, would you like some potato and tuna with your mayonnaise? Blah! I guess the whole healthy branding works in a comparison context, especially when you’ve got KFC and Pizza Hut as your neighbours, a potato and some raw egg and oil seems like celery in by comparison. We didn’t have a particularly cracking experience with Spudulike, the potatoes were overdone to the point the outer shell and first 7 mm were that hard almost microwaved texture. Relative had such an issue cutting the offensive pomme de terre; the plastic cutlery weren’t helpful in this dilemma, but yes cutting issue, causing the filling to fly and slop off in a variety of directions. Maybe it was our poor choice for purchasing the potato in the summer, who knows, it may have been an off day, there was a healthy line of people at the Spudulike counter, so for now I’ll put it down to a bad day and test it out again. However, for quality of the product on the day verses price, I’ll go for two stars.
