Slaters is absolutely huuuge! It has a massive range of formal attire for men including a well stocked shoe section, kilts and endless suits, shirts and ties. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable and clearly take pride in their job — brilliant customer service! Price-​wise they claim not to be beaten and even state that if you find the same garment cheaper elsewhere they will give you it for free!
The selection for men is vast and should meet the needs of any formal wear shopping man… unless he wants something really unusual. There is also a section for women which is rather small… or microscopic by comparison to the men’s section, though they do have a catalogue that you can order women’s wear from with a bit more range but quite basic designs.
If you’re a man looking for formal wear I would definitely recommend trying Slaters.

I came here with my parents when my dad needed a suit fitting for a wedding and I must say that the staff are so lovely and friendly that it’s hard to get bored.
I quite enjoyed being in the old fashioned, dark wood and carpeted suit shop looking around at the hundreds of types of suits, shoes, shirts and belts.
A good place to go with a man if he needs a suit or just a better quality work shirt and tie.
