I had a very short and very un-sweet experience with Queens Court. I was with a group of around 20 people for a friends ‘Hen Do’. They had called ahead weeks before and reserved a table for 20 on Sat afternoon for food. Now for full disclosure we were wearing Neon accessories(as is apparently traditional for Hen Dos) however we had just come from a morning of Laser Tag and 4D Golf — yes I never realized 4D Golf was a thing but there you go. When we arrived there was no reserved table. The most of us managed to get around a table and as the organizer went to ask about why the table wasn’t reserved some of us went to the bar to order a drink. We were given a very frosty reception and we wouldn’t be served until the manger came out. He did — but said we had to leave as they did not serve groups of people in fancy dress. He refused to engage in conversation as to why the booking itself wasn’t honored and why when booking(a table for 20 for a hen do on a Sat afternoon) we weren’t told that Fancy dress is against policy. As we were leaving the other people in the pub were asking us why we were leaving and commented how silly it was. Believe me — our group was a mixed bunch of ages and sexes and by no means even loud or excitable and we weren’t rude at all. I do understand the policy however considering we booked, were very hungry and the pub itself was not very busy at all I do think discretion, pre-warning or just a bit of politeness in the situation would have been called for. Just unnecessarily rude. Ultimately they shoot themselves in the foot for loosing out on a lot of money from food and the fact non of the native Leed dwellers will bother going back.

Queens Court is central to most gay nights out in Leeds city centre. I’ve experienced many good nights out there as well as afternoon drinks on occasions. Queens Court doesn’t really excel at anything, nor is it bad in any way. It’s just a large average gay bar. Nightclub upstairs at certain hours usually has a good atmosphere if there’s enough people in. Good range of draught beers, but look elsewhere if you need craft beers!

Stuck for somewhere to socially eat and drink over Xmas we ventured here(well with 241 drinks it’s rude not to). I have a very hard to please little family but the menu here offered something for everyone. I’m just gonna concentrate my review energies on my food though as with 2 greedy little sisters I didn’t get chance to sample theirs so can’t comment! I had the mini burger platter– they are the best mini burgers I’ve ever tasted! Juicy beef patties, creamy thick slice of cheese, mini sesame seed bun and a pot of chips to polish it off. Go and have some! Best £7.95 you’ll spend on a burger!

I was dragged here at 2 am the other night. from having a great night with a couple of gay friends in a nearby bar, we entered into«Ego»; The Saturday night club night upstairs in Queens Court. sigh. It appears that the biggest ego was the DJs as he turned the volume up to «ear-bleeding» levels for the perhaps 15 people that were in there! Why oh why do djs do that? AM i getting old that I would prefer it to be just a little bit quieter so that i don’t have to dance with my fingers in my ears? gah! It’s two days on and my ears are still ringing. As a club it’s ok. all a bit tattered, but nice that my men were happy to be together openly rather than the huff and bluster of the rest of Leeds. I would like to add that i’ve not been into the rest of Queen’s court, but I did find the club a little passée.

This should be a great bar but isn’t. I’m sat in here now as I have done a few times and it’s freezing cold as they leave the door wide open for smokers to go out. The management have no concept of creating an atmosphere and its pot luck if you get served with a smile when it’s busy. The only plus is they have cheap drinks! If they coupled the cheap drinks with an appreciation for the basics then this should be the best gay bar in Leeds.

Excellent Bar and upstairs club. Prices are great value during happy hour, a little overpriced after. Though the monday/thursday are excellent value with drinks at £1/1.50 all night after 8pm. Excellent door staff that are friendly but firm, when they say no they mean NO, so it provides a great safe enviroment. Food is served til 9pm, and always looks and smells fab, never tried it yet. Staff can seem a little distracted and sometimes take a while to serve, but always are polite, friendly and if your regular, often remember what you drink. Music can be often a little loud at the wrong part of the evening for my tastes but the dj’s play anything they fancy and sopmetimes take requests.

Don’t let the entrance fool you, through the dark narrow alleyway you will suddenly find yourself in a friendly open courtyard, surronded by good music and bars boasting some of the cheapest drinks in town. Friendly bar staff and if you time your visit right you might even make it for one of the biggest parties Leeds has to offer: Courtyard!

Queens court has happy«hour» every day between 5 and 9, but after that the prices are a bit expensive. The food is really nice and reasonbly priced, and in the summer sitting outside in the courtyard area is fantastic. The staff are friendly, as are the customers. Courtyard Parties all through the summer on a sunday once a month are fantastic although sometimes a bit overcrowded(i.e. very very popular). One of my favourite places to go out in Leeds.

Queens Court of Leeds(typing that takes a lot of resistance to insert an apostrophe!) is a grand old place to go for a drink. I first came here last summer as part of my leaving/redundancy do with a bunch of work friends. We had ‘ummed’ and ‘ahhed’ over where to go for a drink after our meal and came to the decision that we wanted somewhere with outside seating. I suggested that Queens Court had a courtyard with lots of outside tables and so this is where we headed. With some pretty funky music blaring out, albeit house dance which isn’t my favourite, and some lovely outside seats we were as happy as larry. There were tons of other people out enjoying the evening sunshine and the atmosphere was fantastic. I think it would be hard to find a place as vibrant and friendly as this and I am sure it’s got more than a little bit to do with the fact that Queens Court is one of the many popular gay bars of Leeds. All the fun of drinking and getting silly with nary an aggressive/sleazy bloke in sight. Wonderbar! Drinks were reasonably priced, I got a decent pint of lager — which can be disappointingly hard in Leeds sometimes and enjoyed a good few hours of music and laughter. Yey!

Situated in the heart of the Leeds gay village with 2 Floors, 2 Dance floors and 2 Bars, Queens Court promises glitz, glam, drag queens and so much more. Queer Saturdays — All drinks £2.50, Flashback Fridays — All drinks £2, whats better than that? Queens Court is one of Leeds’ hottest clubs, fabulous drinks offers and scrumptious food, this place is excellent for a mid shopping spree break. Alot of people frequent Queens Court for pre-drinks on a Monday night before one of Leeds’ biggest queer nights, HOMO. Queens Court always have top DJ’s and if your in the mood for some serious dancing, head upstairs to The Loft. Competitive prices and dance poles galore, The Loft is very popular and is deemed the ultimate gay clubbing experience! The clientele is very varied, sexuality, gender aside, this place really is one of the best nights out in Leeds. Be sure to hit their Courtyard parties in the summer, they are jam packed with top DJ’s, amazing drinks offers and a brilliant party atmosphere. Situated in one of the finest remaining old courts of Leeds, Queens Court is in very stylish and contemporary surroundings, just watch your heels on the cobbled courtyard! I highly recommend this venue if you are looking for an evening full of fabulosity at a low cost.

First of all, the drinks prices in here are appalingly expensive and in my opinion the music is pretty dire too! Must admit to having some good times in Queens Court however, usually on drunken summer evenings when we’ve sat outside. The seating area is quite nice and the location means you are surrounded by loads of other gay bars as it’s situated in the centre of this district. Queens Court is not somewhere I frequent often but I can see the appeal — it’s stylish the friendly and worth a visit.

One of the first gay friendly bars in Leeds, this place seems to have lost its sparkle. Nothing much has changed in this place, décor etc is a little dated and when you have great trendy bars like Fibre next door its an easy choice as to which to visit. Still on the plus side you can sit outside in he summer and the food(although I’ve not eaten there myself) looks nice. Drinks are pretty expensive but then so are most places. A little uncomfortable if you aren’t used to Gay friendly venues but staff very polite.

I’ve always found Queens Court to be a friendly, cheap night out. If the weather is good, you can mingle outside, and if the weather isn’t, it’s standing room only inside. Happy hour is between 6 and 7pm, so get in early. Staff are always friendly, everything is always clean, including the toilets, and it’s a great place to start or end your evening.

Queens Court is a trendy bar/club. It has two floors, the ground floor has seating and is open during the day serving food and drinks. There is also a courtyard outside which gets very busy during warmer weather. Upstairs has a dance floor and is open till the early hours. There is a good mix of people and a good atmosphere and the music is spot on too. As for location, it is situated in the city centre and is close to the other gay bars and clubs which always helps.

By heck this place brings back memories. I used to love this place. Starting off in the main bar, sat on a sofa or dancing before moving upstairs to the main club where I wouldn’t sit still. Great music and a great atmosphere. Great deals on shots as well. Only down side is outside is cobbled which isnt the easiest to walk on when drunk and in heels

Sceny, queeny and full of carpet, this 24 – 7 gay bar makes up an integral part of the Leeds gay scene and boasts a diverse array of Leeds locals and often over eager students! A must for any queer or friend of the gays!
