Wow. Could you possibly try to stack more shelves into such a small space? I felt like at any point one of the towering shelves could come down on me as I moved my large bulk between the narrow aisles. That said, it’s a well stocked convenience store with inconvenient prices that the students seem happy to pay for the privilege of not having to walk to a local supermarket.

One Stop sits comfortably somewhere between a local mini supermarket and a corner shop that sells a good selection of food. Looking at it from the latter point of view, it is a bit of an ubershop, selling a rather large selection of booze, a small selection of fruit and veg, a couple of ready meals, a great variety of spreads, magazines and your everyday staple foods, think eggs, bread milk etc. If you think of the shop as the former, it does not really compare to many other supermarket shops in the Hyde Park area. It is however, a bit of a landmark in Hyde Park, and set right at the edge of the park, come summertime, beware, it gets very very busy with people desperate for a drink, either something alcoholic to relax into a warm summers evening, or just a bottle of water to ease the occasional spot of dehydration! When I lived around the area, it would shut at 12, which cunjures up memories of me running in and being escorted out as they were literally just closing… so walking past the other day it was a triumph to see that they have extended their hours to the full whack of 24. Yessir, it has finally joined the ranks of the Co-op in being there for the students 24 hours a day.
