I really liked the butterfly chicken here. The sauces are good and allow you customize the taste to how you like it. The sides were tasty as well and really made for a decent, inexpensive meal. It is a chain and you can find these all over England, but while I ate a lot of interesting places over the 4 weeks I was working in Leeds, Nandos was among the better half.

I visited Nandos on a(rare) Thursday that I was in Leeds. I met up with two friends, Dani and Louis, and we had chicken burgers and chips. We were sat upstairs by the window so we could see the busy city centre from a lazy vantage point. I chose my chicken to be cooked ‘Hot’ as usual(because I am fearless) which was cooked to perfection, the chips were cooked great, overall a nicely done meal, which is a surprise according to some of the reviews on here! A great tip is that you can get a bottomless soft drink cup which is useful when you get anything hotter than medium and it is only around a pound more expensive than buying one drink on its own. That means you can go and refill your cup as often as you like. Again, Nandos was perfect — the last time I had it was at Tramlines Festival in Leeds — so I would definitely recommend this restaurant for those who fancy a change from pub food and McDonalds.

When in a rush on a Saturday evening, having spent all day in town and having somewhere to be within the hour, I found myself in a food predicament this weekend. It wasn’t a major panic, but I wanted a quick and tasty in and out job to set me up for a few drinks on the town. I was loath to Maccy D it, had already been to my trusted Safran recently, so thought I’d see what the Nandos fuss was all about. Turns out there was a 10 minute wait for tables, but the staff handling this were fabulous. I would say that they need a better waiting area than merely the space at the bottom of the stairs, but hey. I ain’t fussy. So, sure enough, I was sorted in no time. I took a pew and did the thing — you order at the counter and sit down — and my food came within the 15 minute promise. Fab stuff! Opted to try the non-spicy chicken burger and chips, with a bowl of olives to tide me over until the mains came. I have to say that the olives were fantastic. Delicious. When the chicken burger came I was ravenous and ready for it, though sadly it wasn’t all I wished it to be. A little over done, tough bread and the lemony sauce overpowered it a little. Even so, it was by no means poor, and when all that and a drink came to £13, I was happy enough to pay. It’s certainly a step up from some of the other fast food places, made more enjoyable by the fantastic staff, so I’d come again and hope the burger was a one off.(They were busy, so perhaps that was it!) all in all, a good stop off for a quick bite.

Nandos chicken is really nice and their spicy rice is too. The sauce is worth coming for too. Not sure about everything else. I’m not sure all this warrants the hype for this particular chain. Everytime i’ve been the service has been hit and miss and confusing and i’ve always had a feeling that the staff are trying to rush our group out to get a new group in. The service is really odd in Nandos. The drinks menu coud do with sprucing up too. They need a larger selection. This place can get VERY busy. I’d go on weekdays and avoid weekends.

Recommended by a good friend of mine, I went to Nando’s hoping to get a nice, spicy chicken and I was certainly not disappointed. Convenient and fast, Nando’s was well laid out and easy to decide what I wanted to order. As far as spices are concerned, they have a variety of options. I found my chicken to be tender and with the perfect amount of seasoning. If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend stopping by for a try.

No, no, no, no, just NO. I’m a fan of Nandos in general, you can’t go wrong with chicken, but somehow they managed to here. After diligently stamping my Nandos card during many visits to various branches along my end-of-the month cash strapped way(pick up a loyalty card and everytime you spend £5.80 you get a stamp) I had reached the Big Daddy of the chicken world. The freebie any broke/young(ish) graduate dreams of, the ultimate aim of any Nandos goer… yes I’m talking about the free WHOLECHICKEN. Yep, it gets capitalised because it really is that important. So, we’d been deliberating over when and where to eat this prize beast for days(these occasions are important house share events) and finally decided on Tuesday, Leeds. In hindsight all I can say is I WANTMYCHICKENSTAMPSBACK!!! So I can eat it at another branch preferably. The 4 small quarters that they were trying to pass off as a whole bird was soggy, lacked flavour and the chips/garlic bread tasted like they’d just been defrosted and then microwaved. It’s the worst Nados any of us have ever had, and that’s saying something as we’ve had a fair few in our combined years. The table was also dirty and the sauce bottles slimy. Gross. I know it was a freebie, but I deserved it didn’t I??? It took me so long to get there, just for Nandos Leeds to dash my dreams. We even left feeling slightly sick. In about 5 years, which is the time it’s going to take me to reach the pinnacle of our Whole Chicken dream again, I definitely won’t be eating it here.

We all need a Nandos in our lives from time to time. It’s true. I nearly said we all need a chicken in our lives but realised that would sound wrong. Also that would be limited the appeal of Nandos because it actually does a mighty good slap up meal for all meat lovers’ and veggies too. What i really like about this particular Nandos is the venue and the staff. It’s not the biggest but it certainly is nicely done out and the service is A OK. We often go on a Saturday night and I rarely have to wait too long to be seated. Quite something for Leeds. The food also comes quickly, which is just what you want when you have a stop off before some serious shapes are thrown on some serious dance floors. Don’t forget to make the most of the unlimited drink fill ups too. I actually weighed five stone heavier in bubbles last time I went. Oh and maybe don’t go for the extra hot option. It’s not and it is certainly not clever. I can recommend this as a destination whatever the time or day, we salute you.

We call in Nandos when we want the middle of the road option. When we can’t bothered with getting dressed up for a restaurant and we don’t want McDonalds! Nandos is a mid-range place in all respects, with great food at a decent price. The chicken here is cooked perfectly, every time. The spices and other sauces compliment it perfectly and the coleslaw will cool down your mouth. With bottomless drinks it makes the meals even better value. The décor is exceptionally well done in every chain — very fitting to the style of the food. A perfect place to go with friends, workmates or the significant other!

I heart Nando’s…literally. I even have my own loyalty card… i’m a devoted fan you see. I first visited Nando’s probably over a year ago and loved it instantly. I like how there’s table service but things are so laid back that you get your own drinks and ice, cutlery and sauces. I’ve had to sit and wait for a table every time I’ve visited this particular Nando’s, but never had to wait longer than around ten minutes. Plus waiting time is a great time for picking out exactly which dish you want! I always go with my friend and we share one of the combi-platters of chicken and chips, cooked to medium spice then lash on the peri-peri hot sauce. If you are a fan of chicken(or chips, try the peri-peri seasoned chips) then you’ll most likely love Nando’s. The price is great so it’s ideal if you’re on a budget and the restaurant is huge and looks like something fresh out of the Rainforest Café. Top marks from me!

So, I know we’re meant to be a chain friendly independent supporting community on here, but, I have to detail my first experience of Nandos, as it was just so bloomin’ good. It needs sharing. My diet’s an interesting tale, a long one, which probably needs telling elsewhere; not here though. People have said I should pay the spice-based emporium a visit for a long time now but I’ve just never really got round to it. But, finally, I have. And wow. Just wow. I’d seen the Nandos sauce range for sale in the supermarket alongside my favoured Reggae Reggae before and not thought much of it, bar: «wow, they say that’s really spicy, I want to try some» — but I generally stayed loyal to Levi Roots. Now, though, I’ve had a chicken doused in piri-piri sauce. And I’m sorry Levi, but I’m a convert. The food(including pudding) was impeccable. The service was mixed, but our main waitress was keen, polite and friendly. She loved piri-piri as much I did. I’ll be back.

Nandos is the home of legendary, Portuguese, flame-grilled PERi-PERi Chicken and lots of people had recommend this place too me. Well I finally convinced the my hubby that we should take a visit and wow I loved this place the food is simply amazing. I was slightly confused by the service arrangement where its half self service, half waiteress service. We were shown to our table and given a menu by the waitress but then you go to the tills to order your food and pay for your meal and collect your own plates, knives, forks and drinks but then the waitress bring your food to the table. I did find this arrangment a bit odd but didn’t care less when the food arrived as it was so nice. I had hummous for starters and chicken and chips for the main course in a yummy lemon and herb dressing as i’m slightly fearful of spicy food and wasn’t feeling brave enough sample anything hotter. I have to say this was the tastiest chicken I have ever eaten. I loved it. Also it cost us under £20 for two and we gor a starter to share main course each and drinks. Great value I would have given 5 stars if it was full waitress service.
