The venue is very nice with it’s little bar and the staff are very attentive just like in any other city based, classy curry house. The location is good (right on Wellington street, a few minutes from the train station and a 5 min bus ride from the bus station) but is let down by it’s poor parking (there is no parking at the venue itself, the nearest is an NCP to the back of the Crowne Plaza which is far from cheap).
The starters were lovely but I found the curry dissapointingly bland and so did my wife. She had a korma which was uncreamy and un coconutty. I had a jalfrezi which was far too coriander based and just not at all like a decent curry.
For me there are nicer curries in Leeds with better amenities. The 10 us spent £200+ and really I don’t feel it was worth it. I can’t fault the staff or the atmosphere but the curry, the main thing you look forward to, forgettable and certainly not reapeatable.
