If you’re into classical music, I imagine you won’t be disappointed by the Music Library. On the first floor of Leeds Central Library, it is packed full of printed music for a variety of instruments and from solo to full orchestral scores. They also have tons of reference books on a broad range of subjects, as well as music periodicals. There are plenty of CDs to borrow with a wide range of genres from opera to jazz to pop… though I’m not sure a pop and rock section that ranges from Slayer to the Sugababes is the most user-friendly! You can borrow 6 CDs for 85p per week — bargainous! They have a section dedicated purely to music from local bands and artists with apparently over 700 CDs — brilliant idea! Despite a classical slant, there is something for everyone in the music library.
