Like everything in Bramhope, Le Raj is rather posh and upmarket. Yes, that’s right, an upmarket Indian takeaway — it must have the classiest shop front of any takeaway in Leeds. Anyway, onto the food. That too, is high quality and a step-up from the greasy curry takeaways you find nearer Leeds city centre. You can tell from your meal(chicken madras in my case) that they use proper ingredients and follow proper recipes, because the result is simply proper curry. A standard curry will set you back about a fiver, whereas the signature dishes and specials will cost you upto twice as much. Basically, Le Raj offers restaurant quality Indian food from a takeaway… at prices that fall somewhere between the two. Jolly good.
