Fryday’s

This is an interesting take on a fish and chip shop and is only opened in the last few days. Walking in it is very shiny and new, with the feel of a retro bar with fluorescent lights and high round tables. You have the option of eating in which is quite rare for a fish and chip shop which makes it a great addition for those who just can’t wait to get home. As it has only just opened the confusion amongst the staff and slight wait for my order was only to be expected. What did really impress me was that at one point the chef had obviously made a small mistake and rather than try and cover it up he re-​fired my order. Everybody makes mistakes now and then and I think it’s great when you instantly try and correct them. I once was served a burnt bit of chicken, when I told the waitress it was burnt she replied «oh yeah the chef thought it was burnt». The resulting takeaway was really great and tasty, extremely crispy batter. The fish tasted fresh and was well cooked and the chips were yummy. You can also get different portion sizes, something quite unique, meaning you can get a large fish with small chips or as I did a large chips with small fish.
