I’ve been to this restaurant quite a few times now. Great atmosphere and friendly staff… The food is always lovely and not expensive. If you visit the vue cinema beforehand there is always a discount on your meal which is even better

I should have followed my instinct and steered away but I was wet and hungry after failing to find Franco’s on a wet cold night last week. This place is plain cheesy… music and décor over the top New York cliché’. As for food, I can only speak for pizza — it’s hard to completely mess up pizza but this place does a yeoman’s job of it. Mostly new unnecessary twists like pulled pork etc… the only«normal» offering was margarita so I choose it. Crust was literally identical to a pizza box after sitting with pizza in it for an hour… soggy, tough and tasteless. Only deserve one star for attentive waiter. Avoid this place.

If you are looking for the worst service from a collection of the worlds slackest people then this is the place for you! I hate to have to write this review as I have always been a big fan of Frankie & Bennys and always had good service… until they opened the one in The Light. After waiting at the door for a while to be seated, the most unenthusiastic waiter came along. His facial expression that said«I hate you and everyone in here» didn’t show much hope for the evening. Luckily we had only popped in for dessert. After we were seated nobody came back to our table for over 10 minutes and the place wasn’t even busy! We finally ordered our desserts and a drink and couldn’t help but notice how cold it was inside. This was because they had the door wide open! The table beside us even asked to move it was that cold yet they still kept the door open! About 15 minutes later a drink was brought over, which was funny because it had been so long we forgot it had been ordered! Just after that our desserts arrived, They were nice and were demolished pretty quick. There were two waiters and a manager wandering around yet it still took a good ten minutes to get somebody’s attention for the bill. We were finally brought the bill by the manager and she could see I had a card in my hard ready to pay but instead she just walked off. She was stood right behind me at the till and so I turned round to get her attention but she just took to blanking me and continued to stand there and ignore my request to pay. I found this really strange. Why would they not want me to pay?! Another 10 minutes passed and the only waiter in the place actually doing some work came over to take the payment. It is so unfair for him to have to work extra hard because the rest of his colleagues(including his manager) are nothing more than bone idle! I have worked in hospitality before and I know it is by no means easy, but if you really hate it that much anf you just laze your way through a shift because you can’t be bothered then go and find a different job! I previously wrote a tip on this place being 25% off on Mondays. I would say if you really do want to eat here go when you are getting some money off for your trouble. I think they call it Monday Madness because you have to be mad to eat here!

Terrible Food, Terrible Service, Terrible Dessert, Terrible Drink Choices. I never thought I would find a restaurant I hated more than TGI Fridays, Frankie and Berry’s has proved me wrong!

What an eventful afternoon i had there. I went there with a friend to relax and we both ended up leaving the place more stressed than we were before. But let me start from the beginning. we went in and we were seated quite fast. It wasn’t very busy, I would say about half the place was full. The waiter asked as for drinks but we asked him to come back in 5 mins. We decided what we wanted and started chatting and before we knew a good 15 mins had gone without anyone coming. We called for the waiter, took our orders and went, we also asked them if they could close the entrance door because it was cold but he said he couldn’t but he would turn down the A/C. To be honest there was no change what so ever. We didn’t dare to take our coats off. Anyway withing 5 mins again we had the drinks and our starters, which were really nice. My friend had the potato skins with pulled pork and I had the crab bruschetta. But again we were left waiting, all together we were about 40 mins in that place and just had starters. My friend started to get a bit irritated because no one would come and went to talk to manager about it. That’s where the drama started. My friend complained for the slow service and the manager started saying that the place was busy(even though we could see the empty seats) and that this restaurant is not a fast food and they don’t want to make us feel rushed. I don’t know about you guys but when i go to a place to eat it means I am hungry so i can tell you that my stomach wouldn’t have been offended if we had our food faster. Around that time the waiter came and took our plates and about 10 mins after we had our main course. As soon as we got served the manager came again to take notes to fill our complain. After yet again explaining what happened the manager said that she would go and check the cctv to make sure we say the truth. We both got taken by surprise when she said that. Personally i don’t like when i eat my food to have someone checking on me on cctv. Usually these are there for security reasons. Anyway my friend got insulted by that and she said if that would cause some much trouble and the fact we are being treated as liars she doesn’t want to continue this any further, she let her know that she is not happy about it and she doesn’t feel like she would suggest the place and she just wants to finish her meal. Then the manager said that she wants to finish the statement and that feels like my friend is taking the whole thing personally and she is becoming aggressive and that my friend is threatening her. My friend said that is not threatening to say what she really felt and that she would like to finish her meal. That went on for another 2 – 3 times and then the manager left. We tucked in our food to only find that the nice carbonara of which i took a photo it was more of a carbonara soup. The sauce was really watery, we were even joking of using the straws from our drinks to eat it with. When we finished the waiter came to take our plates and ask if we are ready for our desserts but we were in no mood to stay there anymore and we asked for the bill. So apart from the starter i didn’t enjoy the main meal and I left the place with a knot in my stomach from the event.
