I booked this because i wanted a base from which to go down memory lane. I went to school on Leeds city centre and spent a lot of time wandering around the shops, Working, sitting in library and museum and i wanted to be in that Tea, reminiscing and taking photos. This hotel is opposite train station and 5 minutes from coach. The room was a large ensuite one with separate wc and shower. Spotlessly clean with very nice cleaners. Reception on the 3rd was unusual but ok and they r moving to 1st floor. Staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Computer was a pain. I would like to see more and up-to-date in that area which had comfy seats and lots of information. Breakfast was continental, processed ham, salami and 2 cheeses with choice of cereals. they had lots of honey. U needed a voucher which at £3.95 was good value. Great choice of teas and. View from Breakfast room was great for people watching. From the bedroom it was dismal as they are renovating and scaffolding is up. Breakfast tray in room was well stocked. . The staircase reminder of both my primary and secondary schools A truly lovely experience. Will stay There again. Recommended.

A very cheap hotel right next to Leeds train station. Rooms are probably as clean as they will get but they have that grubby feel to them that you can’t shake till you get back home and have a decent bath or shower. Bed is horribly uncomfortable and towels are threadbare and only slightly bigger than a bathmat. Also, HK staff only set ONE towel per room! what is that about… even when they knew there was two of us… ONETOWEL Staff were all nice and very professional and courteous. Willing to help and answer questions or give directions if you are not from the area. Weird set up though which also lowered my rating. From entering on street level, you go into one elevator and go to the 3rd level to get to reception. To get to our room on Level 10, we then had to go through a series of hallways and up a couple of steps to get to a different elevator to take us to level 7 – 10. out of that elevator, it was round through some more hallways and up another step or two to get to our room. I was glad for our room location though — top floor and at the end of a hallway — as you make this journey to the room you pass a lot of other rooms and there is very loud creaking and moaning from floorboards the entire way with every step. If you end up on level 7, prepare for lots of passing traffic noise. To get to levels 7 – 10, it was quite confusing and there are steps in the middle of hallways. I was wondering how any guests utilising a wheelchair would cope with the place… Even to get to level 6, the signs state use the elevator to get to level 5 and then you have to go up the stairs… as I said, very strange. The hotel is adequate enough if you need somewhere to sleep for a night, and there is plenty of bars and restaurants and pubs and shopping all within a few minutes walk, but if you’re staying in Leeds for a few days, spend the extra £‘s and go somewhere else.
